[3D Printing Application] One part, four structures ! Sinterit's second batch of new samples!
Last time we shared the latest 3D printed samples from the Sinterit series using SLS technology . Did you think that was all?! (Further reading: New Sinterit composite material printed products, with highly flexible and movable structures! ) New samples are here!
This time, we'll take a closer look at the details and structure, starting with the dynamic performance:

This sample is the rear derailleur of a bicycle. Adding a chain and rear gear to this original part will make it work; because of the spring and rotating structure, it will automatically retract when relaxed.
The structure alone connects four parts, not including the other two gears and the central spring; as always, this can be molded and printed in one piece in the Sinterit Lisa , because SLS technology requires no additional support or assembly. (Further reading: Beginner's Guide: A Summary of 3 Common 3D Printing Technologies )
Sinterit used PA12 powder for this printing, resulting in a very sturdy and heat-resistant product. Notably, although it's not a soft material in the Flexa series, its CAD-designed structure allows for flexibility. For example, it features a main internal spring with a double-sided closed-loop fastener that secures it to the support frame, allowing for free rotation and rapid recovery.

Because the SLS technology is integrated into one piece, the internal structure cannot be photographed. The two freely rotating gears do not contain bearings, yet they can still rotate smoothly (bearing: a ring-shaped rotating structure, commonly found in fidget spinners).

Another sample is a drill housing. We have previously had 3D printed drill housings with FDM and SLA , and now we have added one for SLS technology ; so that you can compare the differences between different 3D printing technologies at the exhibition or when you participate in our events.

The Sinterit Lisa has a matte finish and is also printed with PA12 powder , making it sturdy and durable. The most important aspects of a drill housing are the integrity of the hole diameter and the fineness of the structure. We took close-up photos of the details so that everyone can see them more clearly.

We will continue to add more content related to 3D printing , and we are eager to share both knowledge and samples with you. Please stay tuned to our latest news or fan page for the latest updates!
