[3D Printing News] Highlights from the SolidEdge Reverse Engineering Seminar

Last Friday (June 15th), we hosted a very informative knowledge-sharing event for our customers. 3DMART specially invited Zheng Tingwen, a lecturer from Siemens' original manufacturer and distributor, Kede Technology, and Xu Tingyu, a lecturer from Shining 3D, to answer questions about the use and application of 3D scanners and the 3D reverse engineering software SolidEdge.
The operation method.


A simple SolidEdge gift (notebook and pen) is provided at the entrance. After checking in, guests can take their seats and wait for the exciting seminar!


The seminar began with a presentation by 3DMart's sales team introducing all current 3D printing technologies and the 3D printers on display, along with some 3D printing samples for reference. They also introduced their latest SLS powder sintering 3D printer, the Lisa .

Next, instructors from KEDGE Technology introduced the current application scope of 3D software and the advantages of Siemens SolidEdge software, combining 3D software with industry.

It also provides a brief overview of the powerful modeling capabilities of the SolidEdge software.

The first half has come to an end, and it's time for a break and lunch, where everyone happily chats with each other.

The second half of the seminar focused on the most anticipated topics: how to use 3D scanners and live demonstrations of reverse engineering software. First, a speaker from Shining 3D introduced the current applications of 3D scanning technology and the various types of 3D scanners.

Next, we will demonstrate how to use a 3D scanner to hand-scan a car bumper. We have also made our own video of scanning bumpers before, and interested readers can refer to this introductory article .

After briefly demonstrating how to scan large objects, we will then use fixed scanning. The 3D scanner is fixed on the tripod, and the object to be scanned is placed on the turntable. After a few minutes, the scanner will have completely scanned the object.

Not only do we operate 3D scanners, but we also teach you some archiving tips to keep files from becoming too large or losing quality.

Afterwards, instructors from SolidEdge's distributor, KEDGE Technology, will provide a simple tutorial on how to use the software.

Then, the 3D scanned file is reverse-engineered using software to make the 3D model more complete, and then directly 3D printed.



Finally, colleagues from 3DMart added other applications of 3D printing technology.

After the meeting, many clients stayed to exchange ideas with the speaker about the content of today's seminar, and everyone felt that they had benefited greatly.

Finally, of course, we had to take a group photo! There were so many people attending the seminar this time, it was incredibly lively!!!
