[3D Printing News] Print your own architectural 3D models

In recent years, we often hear that many young people find it difficult to buy a house and can only admire beautiful buildings from afar. While owning an actual house may be challenging, why not start by creating and enjoying architectural models? Let's use a 3D printer to create your very own architectural models! This time, we used the Ultimaker 3 to create small architectural models. We used PLA (silver) for the material and combined it with water-soluble PVA support material. First, let's take a look at the models before they were submerged in water!

When the PVA support material is submerged in water, all of the support dissolves, leaving behind only the exquisitely detailed architectural models. First, we have a modern skyscraper. Its streamlined design is very impressive, and even the text at the top of the building is meticulously reproduced. The upper structure of the circular section is also clearly defined.

The second is a residential model. At first glance, it appears to have a simple exterior, but various furniture pieces are 3D printed inside the building. Each piece of furniture is meticulously reproduced, resulting in a level of detail comparable to professionally crafted architectural models.
 

The third is a high-rise building. The fine vertical lines on the exterior walls are beautifully reproduced, and many details are also expressed on the curved side sections!

Finally, a commemorative photo with all three architectural models arranged together. Displaying them side-by-side creates an impressive exhibit.
