San Di Ma wishes everyone a Happy New Year and all the best in the Year of the Pig! To express our blessings, we are also offering some festive New Year's gifts this year. San Di Ma and everyone joyfully welcome the New Year together!

We used both Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 to print this series of pig companions. This time we used PLA with the layer thickness set to an ultra-fine 0.1mm, so the printing time was about 3 hours. The pigs printed on the large Ultimaker S5 turned out to be mini pigs.



In addition, the contact surface between the printed material and the printing plate is usually flat and sharp in general 3D printers . However, since both Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 have dual printhead systems, the combination of PVA water-soluble support at the bottom can make the contact edge between the printed material and the platform more perfect.



This time, we printed a wide variety of colors so that all our colleagues at the Taipei headquarters and Taichung branch could have one. Putting them together would bring you good fortune and a smooth year!



We also tried printing a colorful pig. Although dual printheads generally use two colors or two materials for 3D printing , we were able to print a colorful finished product by estimating the number of colors and changing the filament midway.



The colorful pig stands out when displayed with everyone else, and we took close-up photos to show everyone the results of high-precision printing. The high-precision texture feels very satisfying to the touch.
