Unmanned, automated production? Intelligent sensing is truly amazing! Not only that, the robotic arm can handle all production line operations, from manufacturing and processing to packaging, all in one go! Watch the process live now:
Rosborg Food Holding, a well-known Danish herbal plant producer, produces a variety of exquisite plants such as herbs, dill, medicinal herbs, mint, and roses in a 120,000-square-meter farm. For 40 years, it has been producing, packaging, managing, and selling 28 million kinds of herbs and 12 million kinds of miniature flowers every year.

Agricultural products require meticulous professional skills during planting and transportation to maintain the freshness, aroma, and appearance of herbs, thus necessitating a significant investment of manpower and time to ensure quality. To adapt to various seasonal demands, the Rosburg Greenhouse decided to incorporate robotic arm technology to attempt to transform the crop production line!
Mimicking human touch
From planting to sales, herbs and flowers must be carefully processed and packaged to maintain their best condition. The OnRobot RG6 robotic arm chosen by the Rosburg Greenhouse has automatic sensors at both ends of the gripper, which can mimic the tactile feel of humans when grasping and moving objects, with a gentle grip that will not crush the agricultural products.
The packaging process is handled entirely by robots! With precise and flexible capabilities, they can gently secure the plants and place them on the cutting machine's production line; then automatically fold and assemble the cartons, and finally place the chopped herbs into the designated packaging boxes. This new generation of automated robotic arms can be switched to package other products with simple settings changes.
During peak holiday seasons such as Christmas and New Year, the demand for high-quality agricultural products surges, but at the same time, more manpower is needed to assist. By integrating mechanical grippers into the production line, a lot of working time is saved, and there is no need for overtime or hiring temporary employees, which successfully increases production profits.

"Since using robotic arms in conjunction with the production line, we have not only improved productivity and work efficiency, but also effectively reduced a lot of manual labor. Employees no longer need to work overtime and can quickly complete all the processes from production to packaging!" said the manager of Rosberg Foods.

Intelligent automated robotic grippers not only enhance an industry's competitiveness in the market but also create a better working environment! Did you enjoy this sharing? Contact us now to learn more about automated robotic arms ; we offer more than just 3D printing .
