Creating cosplay props or life-size models requires not only essential sculpting and painting skills but also a slow and meticulous work process. This time, they combined vacuum forming technology, allowing them to quickly design a realistic monster tooth in just a few simple steps. Here's the complete process:
First, mix dental alginate with water, pour it onto a dental tray, and bite down directly to create a mold tailored to your teeth. Then, pour plaster into the mold to fill it, and wait for the plaster to completely solidify. The dental model is now complete!
To make the bottom of the model flatter for subsequent processing, plaster can be injected into the bottom of the tooth model. Then, the tooth model is placed in the FormBox vacuum forming machine and vacuum-formed with a transparent injection molding material sheet . The pressure only takes 3 seconds! After demolding, the material sheet is cut according to the shape of the tooth, and the base of the prop tooth is formed.
Next, use clay to create your desired shape on the plaster model. Make a mold using the same steps, then pour in dental resin to create the teeth on the prop. Finally, use paint and alcohol to color and polish the prop.
