[ 3D Scanning Application] Model Wukong - Large Model Making Expert
The application of 3D scanners is nothing more than scanning existing objects to obtain 3D files, and then editing and creating the files, which is also known as reverse engineering.
Files obtained through 3D scanning can be post-processed and redesigned, and are often used in 3D animation models, or in applications such as printing models or making molds using 3D printers.
This time, 3DMart had a rare opportunity to visit Mr. Huang, a customer who purchased our Einscan 3D scanner . He currently runs a small studio called "Mo Wukong," which specializes in making large figurine models and medical samples.

The Mo Wukong Studio started in a small bedroom at home and has been established for more than a year. Recently, due to continuous business expansion, it has moved to this more spacious space.

Upon entering the studio, one can see Mr. Huang's astonishing collection of models, making him a highly professional model collector.
Model Wukong's main clients are commissioned by private model collectors, and some are sample models commissioned by medical companies for exhibitions.
The collection is quite diverse, and of course, it includes super cool Marvel Iron Man models.
Mr. Huang usually uses 3D printers to create large models. Before purchasing the Einscan 3D scanner , he would directly use tools to measure the original model. However, the angles of some curved surfaces could not be determined by measurement, which caused great inconvenience when drawing 3D files.

After starting to use a 3D scanner, Mr. Huang noted that it primarily helps eliminate the need for dimensioning and shape measurement of models. When designing large models, the most important consideration is the structural components. Because the objects are larger, the design of the joint parts needs to be carefully considered to make the whole structure more robust.
