[3D Printing Application] Merry Christmas! Red-nosed reindeer are out!
San Di Ma wishes everyone a Merry Christmas! Don't be sad if you don't have a holiday, 3D printing can heal your heart! Christmas reindeer are super easy to make, super economical in terms of materials, and super cost-effective. Print them now for Christmas!
The elk model is made using a modular approach, first flat-printed and then assembled by hand. We used Ultimaker 3 for dual-material printing, which has a dual-printer system that can print both the support material PVA and the PLA body simultaneously.

What about the red nose? This time we'll just reprint the red nose area; you can choose not to use PVA as a base or use two-color printing directly.
After 3D printing , the finished product is dissolved in water. Doesn't it look a lot like the assembly toys in the goat milk tablets we used to buy as kids? The difference is that now with 3D printers , we can make more complex structures and combinations ourselves.
Without further ado, let's disassemble my new gift! After cutting all the components apart, you'll get these puzzle pieces. Don't worry if you make a mistake, just print another set using Ultimaker !
First, assemble the elk's nose bridge, red nose, and neck mane, then assemble the face panel on one side. The nose bridge part has some clever structural design, using 3D printing of different thicknesses to create a material that can be slightly bent.
Next, attach the antlers and backplate, and you're done! Isn't that super easy? How can you have a red-nosed reindeer without a Christmas tree?
In addition, I printed another Christmas tree using the Ultimaker S5 , using red and green Tough PLA for two-color printing. The new colors are saturated and bright, easily creating a Christmas atmosphere. In terms of functionality, it has higher strength and more stable printing than ordinary PLA .
With the Ultimaker S5 's dual printhead system, two-color printing can be completed in one go, eliminating the need to print decorations and body components separately!
After the Christmas tree was completed, we added Christmas stars for support as decorations. The Christmas tree and the red-nosed reindeer together make it a joyful Christmas to display on the table!

With a size equivalent to half an A4 sheet of paper, it's also perfect as a personal gift! You can even design your own personalized greeting card to give as a present—it's both beautiful and fun! Adding a magnet transforms it into a practical office accessory, allowing you to attach it to shelves or the refrigerator to hold memos or business cards.
We hope you enjoy these Christmas trinkets and have a joyful Christmas! We'll continue to share new printed materials and events , so please follow our fan page or website for the latest news !
