The TwoNav team uses BCN3D EPSILON W50 and BCN3D Sigma D25 3D printers , along with PLA 3D printing cables , to manufacture the casing for the GPS instruments.

BCN3D printing uses IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) technology, a 3D printing technology with two independent printheads. The two printhead systems are completely separate and can move independently, and the movement of the nozzles does not interfere with each other during operation.






Taking the black and white GPS casing as an example, when using different colors for 3D printing , if printhead A is printing, printhead B will move aside and pause, and the systems will not affect each other; or you can choose to use only one printhead to avoid the filament on the other printhead from getting contaminated with the part being printed, effectively improving the quality of the finished product.

3D printers can also produce end-use parts, such as bicycle mounts for GPS devices shown in the picture. They can be customized and sent directly to customers for testing after completion. If there are any details that need adjustment, the team can make adjustments and modifications immediately.

Using a BCN3D Sigma D25 3D printer , molds for aligning parts were created, assembled in an industrial pressurizing machine, and placed into the 3D printing equipment housing. Finally, the glass panels were aligned and fixed. After the housing was completed, the most important step was to fix the chip template. This step was very challenging in terms of the precision of the 3D printing housing. Using BCN3D printing technology significantly improved the efficiency of the assembly process.
