What are the running costs?

The biggest cost is purchasing the printer itself. After that, it's filament and occasional replacements for nozzles or print sheets.

  • No mandatory subscriptions
  • Free software & firmware updates
  • No annoying cartridge locks like inkjet printers

Filament (PLA): 1kg can produce dozens of prints. ~$25/kg

Nozzle replacement (supports hundreds of hours of printing): Takes 1-2 minutes to replace. ~$20

Print sheet replacement (supports hundreds of hours of printing): Print sheets are double-sided. When one side wears out, you can flip to the other. ~$37

Software & Updates: Includes PrusaSlicer, EasyPrint, Prusa Connect, Prusa App, and all updates. $0

Most users spend around $25-50 per month on filament. Other tools like PrusaSlicer, Prusa Connect, and firmware updates are free. A CORE One+ purchased today is designed to serve you well for years to come. Product image 38

Over 80 prints from one spool!

You can print a lot with just one spool of filament. While 1kg of filament means you can create 1kg of printed objects, that might be hard to visualize. The picture below shows what was actually printed from a single spool of Prusament: over 80 different objects.

UN Uncle Jessy: "This has been, by far, the best experience I've ever had with a Prusa 3D printer." TH The Real Sam Prentice: "The print quality is truly excellent. I've tried it with various filaments, and the results have been consistently impressive." CN CNC Kitchen: "Without Prusa's open-source software, community spirit, and the strong community they've built over the years, the world of 3D printing wouldn't be as fascinating as it is today." 3D 3D Printing Doctor: "This machine is incredibly fast. Thanks to CoreXY motion, 360° cooling, and a high-flow nozzle, it's 20% faster than the MK4S. (...) I'm looking forward to printing even more with this machine."

Let's get started

The CORE One+ delivers beautiful prints at the touch of a button.

Accessories to consider

The CORE One+ is ready to use right out of the box, but if you want to expand its capabilities, we recommend the following accessories:

Night Vision 1080p Camera

Add an optional 1080p camera to monitor your prints remotely. The camera connects directly to the motherboard via a USB-C cable and requires an active Wi-Fi connection to operate. Product image 47

Advanced Filtration System

The optional Advanced Filtration System is useful when using materials like ASA, which tend to generate more ultrafine particles and odors during printing. Product image 48

Additional nozzles, print sheets, and filament

Depending on your needs, you might want to add hardened nozzles (for abrasive engineering materials) or smaller diameter nozzles for fine detailed models. Product image 49

Six design points that make the CORE One+ stand out

CoreXY is a system where two motors fixed at the four corners move the toolhead via a long, continuous belt loop. This allows the heavy motors to be stationary, resulting in a very light gantry that achieves extremely high speeds and excellent precision. Product image 50

Fully enclosed CoreXY architecture

The advanced CoreXY motion system moves a lightweight print head instead of a heavy base, allowing for significant speed increases while maintaining quality. Input Shaper firmware compensates for vibrations at high speeds, and travel speeds can reach up to 600 mm/s. Product image 51

Active chamber with smart ventilation

The enclosed chamber can heat up to 55 °C. The system constantly monitors the temperature and automatically adjusts it to the optimal environment for the material being used. An optional HEPA filter can be integrated directly into the enclosure, making it suitable for use in offices and schools.

Nextruder: High-precision control for each layer

The Nextruder is a next-generation print head equipped with a high-precision Load Cell sensor that measures the force exerted on the nozzle tip. The nozzle itself acts as a probe, making it less prone to misidentification compared to optical sensors. Furthermore, 360-degree cooling makes it easier to create beautiful prints with steep overhangs without support, and nozzles (0.25 mm to 0.8 mm) can be replaced in seconds without tools.

Robust steel exoskeleton

The entire exoskeleton structure is made of steel. The enclosure is not just an accessory but a structural component itself. It provides high rigidity even during high-speed operations. No adhesives are used, and it can be disassembled with a single screwdriver. Replacement parts will be supplied long-term for users who enjoy modifying and maintaining their machines. Product image 52

Space-saving design and large build volume

Compared to the enclosed MK4S, the footprint is 50% smaller, yet the build volume is 30% larger, at 250 × 220 × 270 mm. This efficiency is a significant advantage whether you're placing one unit on a desk or building a print farm of 600 units. Prusa Research itself adopts this philosophy in its own facilities. Product image 53

Open-source hardware & firmware

CAD files are public, and firmware source code is available on GitHub. You can inspect, modify, and build your own versions. There are no bootloader locks and no cloud dependency. Prusa has been offering open-source printers since 2012. The key to successful printing.

Active Chamber Temperature Control

Engineering materials are prone to warping and delamination if cooled unevenly, leading to print failures. The CORE One+ creates a stable environment with its compact chamber heated up to 55 °C, mitigating these issues. Furthermore, while other machines might require opening the door to print low-temperature materials like PLA, the CORE One+ can operate with the door closed thanks to smart chamber ventilation. Product image 54

Prusa CORE One+ Assembly Kit: The best way to get to know your 3D printer

With a Prusa printer, you can experience the unique and engaging process of assembling the CORE One+ yourself. Prusa has a long history of providing 3D printer kits and has refined the process. With a detailed, guided full package (like LEGO Technic), you'll end up with a machine identical to the assembled model. Plus, understanding the structure inside and out is a huge benefit. Developing 3D printers since 2012

From the heart of Europe to the world. Prusa Research is a 3D printer manufacturer based in Prague, Czech Republic. It has grown into a team of over 1,000 people, and a new factory has been opened in Delaware, USA. However, it started as a single-person project. In 2010, Josef Průša designed an open-source printer accessible to hobbyists, which gained significant support. Years later, the company is still in Prague, operates independently, and maintains its commitment to in-house design, longevity, and community sharing. The world of 3D printing has changed greatly. But some values don't need to change.
