[Event Recap] Sponsoring the National Taiwan University Maker Space: Bambu Lab 3D Printer Improves Life Design Competition
We are delighted to sponsor the Makershunt hosted by National Taiwan University, an event designed to encourage innovation and improve quality of life. This event combines hardware hands-on experience, software development, and product design, allowing participants to realize their creative ideas and create tangible, relatable projects within a short timeframe.

The awards are divided into four categories: "Best Application," "Best Creativity," "Best Maker," and "Best Solver." The judges will score the entries from 0 to 10 based on four criteria: "Prototype Implementation," "Technological Application," "Creative Idea," and "Applicability."
The scoring criteria for the 2024 competition are as follows:
- Prototype implementation : The integrity of the overall system design of the work (hardware structure, software, hardware and software integration), and its fit with the conference theme (ExplorEr).
- Technical skills : The ability to use development boards, integrate various electronic components, make good use of various machines and instruments, and whether the most feasible technologies can be applied to solve problems and demonstrate practical capabilities.
- Creative ideas : Solving problems or applying technologies in a refreshing and innovative way, proposing unique and creative concepts.
- Applicability : Can the work practically solve problems encountered in life, contribute to society, and has commercial potential? This includes factors such as the product's usability, its potential customer base, production costs, differentiation from other products, and quality.

The competition lasted 24 hours, with 43 groups in total. Only four 3D printers were available on-site. After deducting buffer and setup time, each group had an average of one hour for printing. This meant that the 3D printers used in the competition had to be extremely stable and efficient to ensure students could produce their desired finished products within the allotted time.

This time, we showcased the Bambu Lab P1S Combo 3D Printer , the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo 3D Printer , the Bambu Lab X1E 3D Printer , and the Bambu Lab A1 Combo 3D Printer.
1. Compatible with multiple materials
Bambu Lab 3D printers are versatile and can handle various printing needs. They support a variety of printing materials, including PLA , ABS , and carbon fiber , while the X1E model can handle a variety of complex printing tasks simultaneously .
2. High precision and low failure rate
Bambu Lab offers exceptional printing accuracy, enabling the creation of detailed models and parts. Precise printing results are crucial for projects requiring high precision. Built-in automatic leveling and compensation result in an extremely low printing failure rate!
The image above shows a group of students building a lifting system, and the parts worked successfully on the first printout.
Another group of students customized their own screen bezels to ensure a perfect fit. They even designed a 0.1 cm groove to securely place the screen within the bezel.
3. Easy to use
The Bambu Lab 3D printer features a simple design and is easy to operate. Even beginners can quickly learn to print. It is suitable for a variety of applications, including education, design, and prototyping, and has broad application prospects.
4. Openness
Bambu Lab's Makerworld is an open 3D printing community that allows users to customize and modify their machines as needed. It is also compatible with various file formats, including STL and OBJ, making it easy for users to import different design files for printing and expanding the machine's functionality and application range!
5. High-speed printing
Despite its high precision, the Bambu Lab 3D printer can still maintain a reasonable printing speed, ensuring a balance between efficiency and quality.

6. Remote monitoring
During the competition, the staff were extremely busy. Through remote control and monitoring of printing tasks, one laptop could simultaneously monitor the status of four 3D printers, and mobile phones could also send notifications to remind you that successful printing allowed you to immediately retrieve the printed materials, and to answer questions about printing failures and their causes.
On-site staff can effectively divert their attention to assisting with other tasks, instead of keeping a constant eye on the 3D printer.
7. Cost-effectiveness <br> Overall, the Bambu Lab 3D printer offers good performance and features at a relatively reasonable price, and has a very low barrier to entry, making it relatively easy to get started.
