[3D Printing] Bambu Lab launches H2D Pro!

Bambu Lab officially launched its new H2D Pro 3D printer last night, featuring enhanced cybersecurity capabilities. The system, comprising AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT, is described as an "enterprise-grade" version of Bambu Lab's H2D.

The new product retains all of H2D's 3D printing capabilities while adding upgraded network security to meet the stringent requirements of professional manufacturing.

It's worth noting that H2D Pro does not include the laser or blade cutting modules found in the H2D full laser system. However, it supports upgrades to both, allowing users to add laser engraving and cutting capabilities as needed.

New network security features include WPA2-Enterprise Wi-Fi authentication (EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS), which seamlessly integrates into secure enterprise networks. This 3D printer also supports 802.1X network access control, requiring authentication before network connection. This ensures compatibility with identity-based enterprise IT infrastructures and adds a robust layer of defense against unauthorized access.

For environments where stability is paramount, Bambu Lab has equipped this printer with an Ethernet port, providing a reliable wired connection. This ensures stable performance even in congested wireless environments and delivers full-duplex speeds up to 100 Mbps.

Bambu's H2D Pro also features a physical network kill switch, allowing users to immediately disconnect, prevent unnecessary connections, and meet stringent security standards. Furthermore, it integrates a fully detachable network module, allowing users to physically disassemble the network hardware for added peace of mind and enhanced intrusion protection.

On the hardware front, the new 3D printer introduces two new Bambu Lab products for the first time: a high-performance blade cooling fan and a durable tungsten carbide nozzle.

The Shenzhen-based OEM also announced the launch of an enterprise integration support service. Through this service, Bambu Lab will provide customized assistance to businesses and organizations looking to integrate 3D printers into their operations. According to the H2D Pro product page, Bambu's "expert software development team" will work directly with clients to develop customized printer fleet management tools that meet their internal workflows and technical requirements.

Previously, Bambu Farm Manager was released last month. This is a local network management software that allows users to fully control multiple Bambu Lab 3D printers without a cloud connection. Currently, the platform is compatible with P1, A1, and X1C 3D printers, and H2D support is expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Bambu Lab launches new H2D Pro

Bambu Lab's new 3D printer is primarily targeted at enterprise R&D, education, and small-batch production .

The H2D Pro features a new high-performance cooling fan integrated into the printhead front cover. This fan cools the extruder and hot-end heatsink during 3D printing and features intelligent temperature control to help reduce clogging and filament blockage. This allows it to operate at a recommended temperature 3°C higher than the H2D.

Bambu Labs' latest 3D printers also feature new tungsten carbide nozzles with a hardness of HRA 90, significantly higher than the HRA 74 rating of H2D hardened steel nozzles. This means that when printing with abrasive fiber reinforced materials, their lifespan can be extended by 50%.

According to the Chinese 3D printer manufacturer, the new tool head fan and tungsten filament nozzle are also compatible with the base H2D model. After completing the necessary firmware updates and product launch, both accessories are expected to be available on the Bambu Lab official store in the fourth quarter of 2025.

All other 3D printing hardware on the Pro is consistent with the base H2D model, including a large build volume of 350 x 320 x 325 mm, dual-nozzle extrusion technology for multi-material printing, and nozzle temperatures up to 350°C.

The latter is compatible with a variety of high-temperature engineering-grade materials, including PPA-CF, PPS, and PPS-CF. Furthermore, this 3D printer's 65°C active cavity heater maintains optimal cavity temperature, resulting in consistently high-quality prints.

Active airflow baffles adjust ventilation according to filament type, helping to prevent low-temperature blockage and high-temperature warping, while enhancing layer adhesion and optimizing material properties.

The H2D Pro comes standard with a Bambu Lab high-precision vision encoder. This device, an optional accessory for H2D, uses a vision encoder board and 5 µm resolution optical measurement technology to calibrate the tool head movement and achieves a motion accuracy of 50 µm across the entire build area.

Bambu's new 3D printer also features a G3 pre-filter, an H12 HEPA filter, and a premium coconut shell activated carbon filter. These filters minimize odors and harmful particles generated during the 3D printing process, making the H2D Pro ideal for small and poorly ventilated workspaces.
