Function and Form

The Ultimaker S5 integrates powerful technology into a sleek, clean, and stylish design, making it a perfect fit for your office.
The enclosed front features a tinted glass door to ensure optimal internal temperature and airflow. An intuitive touchscreen interface guides you through printer operation and displays detailed status information. A frame light provides visual feedback and projects a clean white light onto the machine, allowing you to closely inspect your prints.
The embedded power supply configuration gives the printer a clean base, allowing it to be perfectly mounted on a cabinet or stand.


Reliable Scale

The Ultimaker S5 has a large volume of 330 x 240 x 300 mm. It allows for large-scale printing or placing multiple parts on the print platform to achieve the dimensions of your designs. Reliable adhesion, from initial layer to finished product

The Ultimaker S5 will probe the printing platform in more locations, creating height maps of precise details on the printing platform surface.
Using this data, any surface imperfections can be instantly compensated for, providing you with a perfect, ultra-smooth initial layer with a strong adhesion that holds the entire printed object in place. No constant monitoring is required – simply start printing and let the Ultimaker S5 do the work while you do other things.

Longer runtime and greater flexibility

Interchangeable printheads enable effortless, tool-free maintenance and maximum printer uptime. Different nozzle sizes allow for varying print characteristics, ranging from 0.8mm for fast printing to 0.25mm for ultra-fine details. Each printhead features two usable nozzle slots, allowing for quick and easy clicking of the desired combination for reliable dual extrusion functionality.

Print in different colors to create beautiful effects, or use water-soluble PVA or separate supports to present perfect geometric freedom. Easy post-processing and high-quality surface treatment make tactile representation models or complex mechanical parts look smoother and more professional.

To achieve accurate and consistent results across a variety of materials, the Ultimaker S5 uses two interchangeable printing platforms: a hardened glass for general use and an anodized aluminum plate for advanced engineering materials such as ABS , CPE+ , and PC . Each printing platform can be quickly and easily clipped onto the heated anodized aluminum plate platform, ensuring safety throughout the printing process.

Completely under your control

The responsive full-color touchscreen integrated into the Ultimaker S5's front panel makes operation more intuitive, effortless, and clear. Select options via menu swipes and taps, just like on a smartphone. Detailed information, such as loaded materials, print nozzles, and print platform and nozzle temperature, keeps you up-to-date with your work, while the 3D preview function lets you see what's being printed at a glance. It supports 11 display languages, including English.

The feed tube extrusion system keeps the printhead lightweight and achieves the fastest performance. The tight wire path ensures reliable printing even with flexible materials such as TPU 95A .
The tool steel feeder gears move material at precise speeds and are protected against long-term wear with an ultra-hard coating. Furthermore, the redesigned silicone nozzle caps maintain consistent airflow across the printing nozzles, enabling high wire extrusion rates.
Loading, unloading, and changing materials is effortless, with each feeder featuring an ergonomically designed locking lever. Flip the handle upwards to manually insert or remove material. Flip it back to close and apply the same force to the material for precise actuation.
The built-in cable flow sensor intelligently detects when the cable stops moving or ends. To save you printing time, the Ultimaker S5 automatically pauses and reminds you to replenish the cable.

Engineering-grade materials, suitable for multiple properties

The Ultimaker S5 supports the full range of Ultimaker materials, including ABS , CPE+ , nylon , and TPU 95A . Each Ultimaker S5 box contains [material name missing].
One roll of 750g latest Tough PLA material. It boasts high impact strength and rigidity, yet PLA offers a simple and reliable printing experience. Tough PLA has similar properties to ABS.
Its mechanical properties make it an important material for large functional prototypes, tools, or manufacturing aids.
The intelligent roll holder can be easily clipped onto the rear panel of the Ultimaker S5 and can accommodate two separate 750g rolls of material.
Simply mount the reel onto the stand, and using the stand's built-in NFC reader, the printer will recognize the Ultimaker's material type and automatically select the optimal printer settings, so you don't need to set them yourself.
Our team of materials experts rigorously tests each Ultimaker material to ensure maximum compatibility with the Ultimaker S5 and optimizes over 200 settings in our free print preparation software, Ultimaker Cura, to create material configuration profiles.
