Introducing Tough PLA
Our latest material, Tough PLA, makes it easier to print hard objects with high impact strength. Like all material profiles included in Ultimaker Cura, our Tough PLA profiles are created and extensively tested by our team of materials experts. Optimized settings provide reliable results every time, eliminating the need for time-consuming trial and error.

New configuration file
Ultimaker S5 configuration profile. A new printer configuration profile has been added for Ultimaker S5.
With a large print volume of 330 x 240 x 300 mm, the Ultimaker S5 is currently the largest Ultimaker 3D printer.
Configuration details for Tough PLA. Tough PLA is a new type of material that offers the convenience of PLA, but with similar toughness and impact resistance to ABS.
Improve UX
Font updated. NotoSans is now the default font in Ultimaker Cura, improving readability and aligning with Cura Connect.
Print/Save shortcuts. Use Ctrl + P (Windows, Linux) or Cmd + P (Mac) to send a print to the printer from the Ultimaker Cura network. If the network is not connected to the printer, the print will be saved to an archive.

3D Model Assistant. Icons and pop-ups will appear for models made of ABS, PC, PP, or CPE with a footprint greater than 150 x 150 x 150 mm.

Configuration/Sync Buttons. Configuration and sync buttons have been added to the Printer Manager in the right panel so that networked printers can be easily synchronized.
All available configurations in the Cura Connect group. The group host names are automatically pulled from the API, and network printers and local printers are displayed separately in the list.
The plug-in browser's appearance and feel. The plug-in browser has been updated with a better look and feel, making it consistent with other UI elements. The author's name is clickable; open the email for support. Installed plug-ins can also be uninstalled using a button. 
Visibility settings presets. The preset guide lets you step through the most important settings. A small selection unit next to the search bar makes it easy to view these new visibility preset settings. 
Tooltips that display unavailable configuration profiles have been added to the list of incompatible settings to explain why they are incompatible.
Empty material slot. When there are no materials in Ultimaker 3, it will now be displayed as "Empty" instead of "Unknown".
Quickly replicate models. Adding models is faster than in previous versions.
Automatic slicing preset is disabled. For a better user experience, the automatic slicing function is now disabled by default.
Optimize slicing engine
A new UFP extension. UFP (Ultimaker Format Package) is a new file extension name that includes compressed gcode and a preview thumbnail.
Use this extension to preview models on the Ultimaker S5 touchscreen and in Cura Connect (similar to the solid view in Ultimaker Cura).
Compressed gcode. Gcode stored from Ultimaker Cura is compressed (using gzip) to save space. 
Single extrusion mode. By disabling the extruder on a dual-extrusion printer, you are no longer limited by other extruder parameters.
To disable the extruder, right-click in the right-hand panel and select "Disable Extruder". Alternatively, right-click and select "Enable Extruder".
It has been reactivated. The print configuration profile has been optimized for the original extruder, and global settings (such as print platform temperature) have been updated for better print quality. Using a single extrusion mode also provides the "print one at a time" function for Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5. 
Circular turret. The turret path changes from a square to a circle. This allows for smoother print nozzle operation, a more robust turret structure, better interlayer adhesion and print platform adhesion, and reduces the likelihood of turret failure during intermediate printing. 
Connecting fill lines. Mesh and triangle fill patterns now have connecting lines for more stable flow, better model strength, and reduced impact on external wall quality.
Support Blocker. Generates a cube mesh to prevent support material from being generated in specific areas of the model. Each cube can be scaled, rotated, and moved using standard adjustment tools to suit your needs. After selecting the Support Blocker tool, click on the area where you want to prevent support generation to create the mesh. If incorrect positioning occurs, click again and delete. 
True bridging. New experimental features detect bridging and adjust print speed, slowing down the speed and fan speed to improve print quality of bridged parts.
The CuraEngine executable has been updated. The CuraEngine executable now includes a dedicated icon, author information, and certifications.
The application uses RapidJSON and ClipperLib from the system libraries. The application has been updated to use a verified copy of the repository, reducing maintenance time (now handled by the operating system) and reducing code size (because it doesn't need to be redistributed if it's already on the user's system).
Improve printing behavior
Initial laminar flow. The initial laminar flow settings can be adjusted in the "Material" category.
Initial run-through retraction. Retraction has been added to the initial run-through to reduce the chance of major spots running into the part before the print edge/side skirt.
Unnecessary retraction in spiral mode. Removes retraction from layer changes in spiral mode, reducing print texture and improving overall model quality.
Faster running paths. The path order optimizer in previous versions worked by taking the shortest route from any point to another.
When using combing, the route can be longer because it needs to navigate around obstacles. In Ultimaker Cura 3.3, the path order optimizer can use combing distance to achieve more consistent results.
Update the cheat
New add-ons. Three new add-ons have been added: expandable extra primes, print temperature offset, and fan.
Preheated extruder. A new feature allows you to display the preheated extruder from the printer.
Rename TweakAtZ to 'ChangeAtZ'. This script has been renamed to be more consistent with other scripts.
Check the imported XML material configuration file. Before importing Ultimaker Cura, check the XML material configuration file now to avoid potential problems.
Third-party printers
Printer configuration profiles and material configuration profiles have been added for the following third-party printers:
FABtotum, Dagoma, uBuild, Cartesio, Printrbot Simple Maker's Kit 1405, SeeMeCNC, Velleman Vertex
And gMax 1.5.
Bug Fixes
Ultimaker Cura 3.3 fixes several bugs from older versions, including:
The following issues were identified during the process: a post-processing script was lost, causing the slicing engine to crash when slicing material at 0°C; a network connection was lost, preventing connection to the printer; printing failed due to the use of "Pause Height"; the default configuration file was reset after resetting; SolidWorks add-on issues were fixed; and font rendering issues on Mac OSX were resolved.
