[3D Printing News] The latest Ultimaker firmware 4.1 upgrade has been released!
Our new firmware version adds new features and printing performance to your Ultimaker 3 and Cura Connect.
Includes new configuration profiles that use our latest print nozzles and support materials to improve and enhance the 3D printing experience.
What new features does firmware 4.1 have?
A new configuration profile for the 0.25mm AA printhead has been added. This new printhead configuration profile, when used with the new 0.25mm AA printhead , allows for the printing of finer lines or high-precision prints.
Add a separation line configuration profile. Add a print material configuration profile to the printer's material menu. This new profile includes optimized settings for the separation support material, a dry post-processing material that can be quickly and easily removed from printed objects, speeding up the production workflow.
Extruder 2 nozzle temperature calibration. The accuracy of temperature control for the printing nozzles has been greatly improved, resolving the issue that the temperature of extruder 2 was slightly lower than that of extruder 1.
Displays print time. The print time clock has been changed to ensure time specifications are consistent across Ultimaker Cura and Cura Connect.
Print quality improved. Previous firmware versions could cause printing defects when the buffer was underloaded. This is now visible when printing many short lines or high-speed print sections in Ultimaker 3.
Cura Connect
New language support. Support for the following languages has been added: Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Polish, Turkish, and Simplified Chinese.
Machine icon. A new tooltip has been added to notify users of printer unavailability status on the print jobs page.
A list of UUIDs has been added to the printer and print jobs in the Web UI to aid in automated testing.
Fixed Navigator. For larger screens (770 pixels or larger), the navigation will remain fixed at the top of the page as the user scrolls down. When the printer details control area is open on the Printer page, scrolling up ensures that the control area remains visible.
Improved tooltips. The tooltip text has been rewritten for better readability.
Fix bugs
Time synchronization. The new endpoint on the printer end can remotely verify that the service updates the system time on the printer, resolve annual errors, and improve the accuracy of maintenance cases and internal logs.
Critical failure, activity halted. In the event of a critical failure, all activities will cease, including stopping the print nozzles.
Marin buffer underload. Fixed an issue to prevent the Marin plan buffer from being filled at any time, improving print quality in Ultimaker 3.
