[3D Printing Application] A Must-Know for World of Warcraft Players! Roaring Durotan
Do you enjoy playing video games? If you are a video game enthusiast, then you must have played the once-popular World of Warcraft, right?
Do you remember Durotan, the formidable character in World of Warcraft?
He was specially brought along for the MakerFaire 2017 exhibition , and he really attracted everyone's attention!
Let me show you the printing process and some detailed photos!
This time, we used the Ultimaker series ( Ultimaker 3 Extended on the left and Ultimaker 3 on the right) 3D printers for printing. Printing with both machines at the same time is faster.
The dual-nozzle design allows us to use Ultimaker PLA Silver and Ultimaker PVA water-soluble support cables , with the layer thickness set to 0.15mm.
If the fill is 20%, it will take 150 hours to print all the pages.
The image shows the completed 3D printing of the upper body.
The image shows the 3D printed parts of the hands and feet carefully removed from the 3D printer after printing. Then, simply place them in water and wait for the PVA support material to slowly dissolve. The dissolution time is approximately...
20 hours. Once the dissolution is complete, simply assemble the parts, and you're all done!
Now let's admire the printed product together!
Look at Durotan roaring so powerfully, how majestic he is!
Facial expressions and upper body details were printed in meticulous detail.
The back also features many fur details, none of which have been missed.
Here's another side view of Durotan; those pecs are really impressive! Hehe.
The cracks on the axe are even printed on it! It's incredibly realistic!!!
Still not enough? We also took 360-degree photos, so you can slowly rotate around and enjoy them at your own pace!
