[3D Printing Applications] Sinterit's new composite material printed products have a highly flexible and movable structure!

Sinterit has previously shared introductory information on three technologies (further reading: A comprehensive overview of 3 common 3D printing technologies ). As you already know, Sinterit 's SLS laser powder sintering technology does not require support materials, making it suitable for complex cutouts and mechanical structures. This time, we'll share Sinterit 's latest 3D printed samples; let's first look at its dynamic performance:

This somewhat alien-like SLS movable 3D printing jig combines only two parts: a rigid structure and a soft material tip.

The rigid structure is made using PA12 powder printing, resulting in a hard finish with good mechanical strength and heat resistance. The soft tip uses Flexa Black elastic black powder , a TPU polymer that is elastic and chemically resistant. Besides industrial mechanical structures, it is also being developed and applied in the fashion industry. (Further reading: 3D printing adds a finishing touch to Miss South Africa )

As shown in the diagram, the movable structure consists of a central spring, double-sided snap buttons, and a closing pull ring; pressing down the buttons activates the internal spring, causing the tip clamp to open and close.

Thanks to the supportless forming method of SLS 3D printing technology, these objects can be formed in one piece in a single 3D print , so that enclosed parts can also be completely free from gluing and additional assembly.

We've also printed the center spring to show you the material properties and strength of the central spring structure . It requires considerable force to press down, and it has excellent rebound.

In addition, we also took close-up photos of the sample details so that you can see that Sinterit 's printed products usually do not have obvious layered textures, but rather have a matte or frosted surface texture.

Sinterit's latest 3D printing samples were previewed at the last sharing session (further reading: 3D Printing Technology Sharing Session, learn a wealth of knowledge! ). Those who were unable to register last time are welcome to call to schedule a sample viewing or inquire about more applications of Sinterit printers .
