[3D Printing Classroom] Comprehensive Review of Three Technologies: Printing, Modeling, and Scanning!

The workshops on March 8th this year were packed with participants, covering not only 3D printing technology but also Solid Edge modeling and scanning. Don't be sad if you missed out on a spot; we'll give you a recap of the highlights! We also provided plenty of drinks and snacks during breaks, so you won't fall asleep or get hungry – we wanted to keep you focused on learning!

Before the lecture started, everyone was very interested in the 3D printed samples. The staff at Sandima were happy to answer your questions. The lecturer, Artem, speaks fluent Chinese, so there's no need to worry!

First up is Solid Edge modeling, which provides a seamless experience from the user interface to object creation. Currently, purchasing an EinScan Pro 2X or 2X Plus series device comes with a free copy of the dedicated Solid Edge software, making post-scan retouching easier.

In addition to demonstrations of 3D printing techniques, the event will feature a variety of finished products for attendees to browse and learn about, providing a more intuitive understanding of the three common applications of 3D printing . Furthermore, online tutorials will be available for further research on these 3D printing technologies after the event. During this lecture, three different objects were scanned on-site: a Thanos figurine , a car bumper, and a real face. Compared with the actual Thanos figurine, the scan revealed even the lines on the chin.

Previously, we shared a real-world test of scanning car bumpers (further reading: EinScan Pro 2X+ puts it to the test! Bumper modeling takes only 3 minutes! ). We also used the handheld scanning mode on-site to let everyone experience just how fast the modeling speed is. For those who didn't have time to take photos or videos on-site, you can directly refer to the time-lapse video with the speedometer timing attached.

Finally, volunteers on site personally experienced facial scanning. The color scan image can realistically record the facial features of real people, which can be done entirely by computer calculation. It is very convenient and fast for use in industrial, artistic or medical fields.

Thank you all for participating in the afternoon 3D printing workshop. The workshop also awarded learning hour certificates, allowing everyone to take home a wealth of technical knowledge and new insights.

We will continue to hold various events and share the latest developments in 3D printing , and will announce the latest news on our Facebook fan page and official website. Please stay tuned to get the latest information!
