[3D Printing News] A fresh new look for the New Year! Cura 4.0 Beta Version: 3 Major Innovations!

Christmas surprises are here early! A preview of the new user interface for Ultimaker Cura 4.0, the new Ultimaker Cura 4.0 beta will feature three major innovations:

Based on user feedback, we are providing a smoother and more intuitive operating process.

• New users' account control panel and plugins that require login, such as "Cura Backups".

Ultimaker Cura is a powerful slicing software that meets users' needs for pre-processing in 3D printing . The new interface presents these functions in a better way, tailored to the user's workflow. The main menu is divided into three stages, clearly guiding the operation steps:

The menu has been expanded with a collapsible user interface, allowing users to view the 3D view while keeping important information such as slice configuration and settings displayed simultaneously.



The new user interface establishes more distinctions between recommended and custom modes, making it easier for novice users to set up materials .



Users can now easily access the preview screen and inspect the layer view after slicing the model, which was not so obvious in previous versions.





The "Marketplace" and user control keys are all located on the main screen, making it easy to use cable settings and add-ons, manage functions that require login (such as Cura Backups), and other functions that will be updated after 2019.



You can download and try the early access beta version of Ultimaker Cura 4.0 now, with the next updated beta version expected to launch in the first quarter of 2019!

*Note: This initial beta version cannot be guaranteed to be completely stable. If you are about to 3D print an important product, we still recommend that you use the officially released Ultimaker Cura 3.6 version .
