[3D Print Unboxing Review] Do 3D Printed Works Need a Spa Treatment?
Modern people are busy with work and face a lot of life stress. After a week of hard work, men might want to enjoy a drink, and women might want to unwind with a steam spa to soothe their minds and bodies.
But you'd never imagine that even 3D printed creations might need alcohol and a spa, right?!
Polymaker's new product, PolySmooth™, is a new material that can be polished with alcohol for surface treatment.
Its printing conditions are very similar to PLA, making it easy to print, with very little warping, excellent mechanical strength, and easy removal of support materials.
When combined with the Polysher™, a cool and easy-to-use alcohol vapor polishing machine, it can remove layer lines and achieve a smooth and beautiful surface quality!
Polysher was a popular product that successfully raised funds on Kickstarter last year, generating great anticipation as it could solve the biggest headache in 3D printing: layer lines.
And this year, it has finally officially entered mass production and sales! 3DMART is the authorized distributor of this series of products in Taiwan and Hong Kong!
New product launch special! Customers who order and pay for a Polysher by July 7, 2017, will receive one roll of PolySmooth filament as a gift! Don't miss this amazing offer. Please share it with everyone!
Now, let's take a look at the photos! We're unboxing a brand new Polysher and a PolySmooth sample printed with an Ultimaker 3D printer!
The Polysher's outer box is compact, but its functions are very comprehensive. Let's open it up right away!
Upon opening the box, you'll find it securely packaged, with thick cardboard cushioning on all sides to prevent damage during transportation!
The main unit is already assembled! Just take it out and you can start using it immediately!
Accessories include a base, alcohol tank cover, and plugs for various countries, so you can take it anywhere in the world!
The control panel is very simple! The bottom right is the power button, the top left is for raising and lowering the platform, the top right is for lighting, and the dial in the top center sets the polishing time.
Once the alcohol is injected, it's ready! Now let's see the power of the new material!
Do you watch Marvel movies? The editor's favorite characters are Spider-Man and Iron Man. And a new movie is coming out in July!
Unable to wait, I immediately printed a head model with a Lulzbot Mini to enjoy!
Looking at this dazed expression, it seems the protagonist is feeling tired. Let's refresh him right away!
Enveloped in alcohol vapor, it looks very comfortable... So relaxing~~~
Ta-da! After vapor polishing, it's a completely transformed finish! His tired expression is gone, replaced by a vibrant look!
