[Pressure Molding] Maintenance is important? Mayku Multiplier daily maintenance routine tutorial!
Do compression molding machines require maintenance? What's the difference between regular maintenance and infrequent maintenance? How often should maintenance be performed? If you've already purchased one or are interested in compression molding, you may have these questions. For users, the most important thing is maintaining high-quality manufacturing, which means keeping your multiplier in optimal condition. This article details maintenance schedules and procedures. Please note: this schedule assumes 2,500 molding cycles per year.
Tip: If you use it more frequently, it is recommended to perform maintenance more often to ensure the best molding results.

Weekly tasks:
Clean the sealing ring
The multiplier has a rubber sealing ring used to keep pressurized air inside the dome during molding. The sealing ring is located at the inner edge of the molding chamber, and it is crucial to keep it clean and free of debris, as even small amounts of debris can create gaps. If gaps occur, an airtight seal cannot be formed, causing the sheet material to sag and making it difficult to close the cap. If this happens, thoroughly clean the sealing ring and try molding again.
Gently wipe the sealing ring in a circular motion with a damp microfiber cloth. Ensure the sealing ring is properly secured to the dome; an airtight seal is crucial for optimal performance. Wipe away any excess moisture with a clean microfiber cloth.
Deep cleaning is recommended every 40 cycles or weekly, depending on user frequency. A maintenance reminder will appear on the screen when the seals need cleaning. For deep cleaning, it is recommended to use IPA and a microfiber cloth.

Clean base plate
equipment:
• Torx head hex key
• Microfiber cloth
• Isopropanol
Clean the base plate by following these steps:
1) Locate the screws that secure the base plate.2) Use an Allen key to unscrew the screws to remove the base plate.
3) Clean the baseboard with a microfiber cloth and some isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt or debris.
4) After cleaning, reinstall the base plate and tighten the screws.
Handle the screws with care to avoid overtightening them during reinstallation. This process helps maintain the performance of the Mayku Multiplier and is recommended to be cleaned every 70 cycles or weekly, depending on user frequency. A maintenance prompt will appear on the screen when the base plate needs cleaning.
Check the heater for cracks or signs of malfunction.
The heater is located inside and at the top of the dome. A flashlight is recommended for clear inspection. Open the multiplier cover and inspect the inside of the dome with a flashlight. Do not attempt to repair any cracks; if any cracks are found, please contact us at Sandima.
Monthly tasks:
Drainage tank
It is recommended to drain the cans periodically to prevent moisture buildup and rust. These cans are made of stainless steel and are rust-resistant, but if not drained regularly, moisture can build up and eventually enter the Multiplier dome. The recommended cleaning frequency is every 100 cycles or monthly, depending on how often you use it. When draining the cans is necessary, maintenance tips will appear on the screen, providing step-by-step instructions.
Moisture will be released below the valve, so please keep the area clean or place a tray to catch any moisture deposits. The release is quite loud, so please remember to wear goggles and earmuffs.
equipment:
• Noise protection (earmuffs)• Eye protection
You can also empty the water tank without waiting for the maintenance prompt to appear on the screen. There are two options:
1) Start emptying the water tank via the control panel.
• Navigate to the main menu and select Maintenance• Follow the on-screen instructions to start the drainage process.
2) Manual drain tank
Locate the overpressure valve and pull the ring (M) down. A pencil can help trigger the valve. This action will begin the drainage process. Note that pulling the ring will make a loud noise, and your hands may get wet as water is released. When performing manual drainage, please be careful and ensure you are prepared to deal with noise and possible water mist.
Cleaning temperature sensor
equipment:
• Air gun
• Cotton swabs
Clean the temperature sensor by following these steps:
1) Use dry compressed air to blow away any debris or obstructions on the sensor, which will help ensure accurate temperature readings and optimal performance.2) If there are stubborn residues or dirt on the sensor, you can use a cotton swab to gently wipe the sensor, being careful not to apply too much force.
By cleaning the temperature sensor regularly, you can maintain its functionality and ensure accurate temperature measurements during operation.
Clean reflector
The reflector is located inside and at the top of the dome. A flashlight is recommended for clear visibility. Cleaning is recommended every 30 cycles or monthly, depending on user frequency.
Open the multiplier cover and inspect the inside of the dome with a flashlight. Excessive plastic dust or residue on the heater will give it a cloudy white appearance and should be cleaned immediately.
equipment:
• flashlight• Microfiber cloth
• Isopropanol
Clean the reflector of the Mayku Multiplier by following these steps:
1) Ensure the bulb is cool and safe to touch, and let the machine idle for a while before cleaning.2) Gently clean the reflector surface using a microfiber cloth and some isopropyl alcohol. The soft and lint-free properties of the microfiber cloth help prevent scratches or damage to the reflector.
3) When cleaning, avoid direct contact with the heater. Direct contact with the heater may cause damage or affect its performance.
- It is recommended to keep the multiplier lid closed when not in use to prevent dust from entering. Regularly cleaning the reflector with a microfiber cloth will keep it clean and ensure efficient heat distribution during the molding process.

Lubricated guide rail
If you notice that the rails on your Mayku Multiplier are dry and making a grinding noise, they may need lubrication. Here are the recommended steps for lubricating the rails:
2) For this application, apply a small amount of lithium-based lubricant specifically designed for this purpose to the guide rail. This lubricant will help reduce friction and eliminate friction noise.
Important Note: Avoid using dry lubricants such as PTFE powder or graphite powder with circulating ball or roller bearings. These lubricants are suitable for sliding friction but have limited effectiveness for rolling friction. We recommend using Loctite synthetic grease with SuperLUBE tubing.
By properly lubricating the guide rails with a lithium-based lubricant, you can ensure smooth operation and optimal performance of your Mayku Multiplier during operation. Hopefully, this maintenance guide will be helpful in better maintaining your Multiplier and ensuring it operates in top condition!
