Laser software tutorial -

Confirm the name of the connection port:

- When using a Mac system, you need to select a name that starts with tty.usb.
- When using a Windows system, please confirm the port name that appears during connection (e.g., COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.). If you are unsure which port number it is, please open the port options, remove the USB cable connected to the machine, and check which port number disappears. You should then select that port to confirm the correct connection.

If the wrong port is connected, the connection button will turn orange ; if the correct port is connected, it will turn green .

- Start carving -

Focus

Rotate the focus ruler downwards, then hold the laser head and pull it down until the focus ruler just touches the material. Then move the focus ruler back to its original position. Before each engraving, you need to confirm that the focus is correct.

Import the engraving test file

Select "Menu" > "File" > "Examples" > "Swiftray Examples".

Preview of the carving location:

After importing the file, click "Write the border". The laser head will emit light spots to preview the border of the engraved pattern. If you can't see the light spots clearly, you can temporarily remove the orange laser mask and put it back before starting the engraving.

After clicking "Start", the machine will begin engraving.

If the engraving effect is blurry, unclear, or the color is pale, please check if the focus is correct.
