[3D Printing Applications] Halloween Trick or Treat: Scary Items

Halloween, a fun Western holiday, is just around the corner! On this day, people dress up as all sorts of ghosts and monsters, and children go out trick-or-treating. We used the Ultimaker 3 Extended 3D printer to print some Halloween-related items to celebrate, and we hope you find them helpful.


Let's use a 3D printer to print the pumpkin! The pumpkin body and lid are printed separately.

The first one is a cute yet mischievous pumpkin-shaped storage box with a lid that can be opened to put in some delicious candies or small items.

3D printing pumpkins with Ultimaker orange PLA filament produces highly saturated colors, a must-have for Halloween.

Don't worry about the gaps in the eyes; the candy won't fall out easily.

They also printed out a separate, fierce-looking pumpkin head—much scarier, right?
The second one is Frankenstein's monster with a bloody red brain. The Frankenstein's monster is printed with Colorfabb fluorescent printing material , so it emits an eerie green glow when placed in the dark.

Let's see how it looks in the dark!

It's terrifying, isn't it! Seeing him in the dark when you get home probably makes you scream!

Next is the bloody brain, printed with red polysmooth filament. After printing, it is polished with a polysher alcohol polisher to create a smooth and delicate effect like a human brain.

Place it in an alcohol polisher and run it for about 10 minutes. If you want a smoother and more moist feel, run it for a longer time.

The Frankenstein's monster has a recessed area on its head to hold its brain, and you can also remove the brain to place some small household items there?! Although it might seem a little strange, it's still a very quirky and interesting decorative item.
