[3D Printing News] Breaking News!!! Unbreakable, ultra-strong polymide CoPA nylon filament
Polymaker recently launched a series of special products, among which a particularly unique new cable – polymide CoPA nylon – is truly eye-catching.
Everyone knows that ABS plastic has good strength and toughness, but it is not as wear-resistant as nylon. The polymide CoPA we introduced this time has all the advantages of nylon (high strength, wear resistance, toughness and light weight), and its strength and toughness are relatively improved and it has a heat resistance of up to 180 degrees.
We used the Ultimaker 3 3D printer for this printing test. The print quality was quite good. There was no warping even with Brim running, and the printed product had almost no extra printing marks.
The parts 3D printed this time are aircraft parts that have appeared before.
Of course, words are not enough. To prove the high strength and toughness of polymide CoPA, we specially invited a handsome male colleague to act as a hand model and demonstrate to you a thin sheet printed with polymide CoPA cable that cannot be broken even when bent with extreme force. Please see the actual video below. (ps. The male colleague has used his maximum strength, and his facial expression is already very complicated.)
Of course, nylon cables alone cannot be compared, so we made a special video comparing the strength of PLA, ABS, and Nylon cables.
The video shows that PLA is the most fragile, easily broken with a single force, ABS takes a while to break, while nylon is incredibly strong and cannot be twisted no matter how hard you try.
After seeing this sharing of printed items, aren't you amazed by its durability?
Nylon is well-suited for use in the assembly of moving parts, especially in gears, pulleys, screws, and other moving parts that require wear and impact resistance and are prone to frequent movement and wear .
Do you have a recent need for 3D printing of high-toughness parts? Now you have another nylon option! Hurry up and buy a roll and give it a try!!!

Helpful reminder: Nylon cables are susceptible to moisture damage, so we recommend using a dehumidifying box or Polymaker's new Polybox dehumidifying box .
