[Event Report] 3DMart Powerfully Supports MakeNTU 2026 Participants!

We are honored to once again participate as a maker supporter in the 2026 "MakeNTU" hackathon and to continue supporting this annual big Maker event organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University.
For many years, MakeNTU has been an important stage for Taiwanese students to showcase hardware innovation and interdisciplinary practical creation. This year, developers, designers, and creators from all over Taiwan gathered to take on the mission of "complete realization from idea to tangible work" within a limited time.

MakeNTU 2026 was not just a contest, but an innovative experimental ground where AI, software and hardware integration, digital manufacturing, and product thinking converged.
Each team had to quickly conceptualize, design, model, integrate circuits, and create prototypes in a high-density, high-speed development rhythm, literally transforming their ingenuity into "tangible results that everyone can see and touch."

Make NTU 2026

This year's MakeNTU also carried on the core spirit of "We need it, we make it," encouraging participants to use their skills and ideas to present solutions to real-world needs and challenges.
In addition to hardware development and software design, challenging themes such as the introduction of AI applications, smart interaction, sustainability, and even human-machine integration were added to the venue. The maker spirit evolved from simply creating works to considering "how technology can truly enrich lives" a step further.

In such a high-density, extremely compressed creative environment, every minute and second is extremely precious.
From concept formulation to final demonstration, participants not only competed on the novelty of their ideas but also tested the efficiency of execution and the stability of the equipment used.

Demand for 3D Printing in the Contest

At the MakeNTU venue, there is an extremely high demand for real-time prototyping. Participants need to complete mechanical parts, enclosures, functional components, and display models in a short period, so 3D printing equipment requires not only "high speed" but even more so "high stability."

As each team shares and co-uses limited equipment and time resources, printing efficiency, low failure rate, and ease of operation directly impact the overall completeness of the work.
In a maker contest, the ability to quickly output usable parts often holds the key to whether a work can be completed on time.

Therefore, multiple "Bambu Lab" 3D printers were introduced at this event venue to fully support participating teams in more efficiently producing prototypes.

Bambu Lab

Why Can Bambu Lab 3D Printers Be Designated Machines for Contests?

Among many 3D printer brands, why was Bambu Lab chosen?
This is because Bambu Lab 3D printers possess numerous excellent features that are ideal for design contests, making them the perfect choice for this NTU Electrical Engineering hackathon.

The models used at the venue this time were as follows:

Bambu Lab P2S Combo 3D Printer | Bambu Lab H2S Combo 3D Printer | Bambu Lab A1 Combo 3D Printer

Bambu Lab

At the MakeNTU site, the biggest enemy and challenge is "time."
Bambu Lab's high-speed CoreXY architecture can significantly reduce print time while maintaining high print quality, allowing more teams to complete their work within the limited schedule.
This is a particularly important advantage in a development process that requires rapid iteration of design verification through multiple revisions.

Bambu Lab 3D printers have a refined design and are intuitive to operate. Even beginners who are new to 3D printing can quickly master and start printing without getting lost.
They have broad prospects for utilization, perfectly adapting to a wide variety of application scenarios, including education, design, and prototyping.

Bambu Lab has a very rich Maker ecosystem and community resources.
Through the "MakerWorld" platform, users can share 3D models and quickly download projects. It also widely supports common multi-formats such as STL and OBJ, allowing for smooth integration with different modeling tools and design workflows.
This open approach perfectly aligns with the maker spirit emphasized by MakeNTU and the "cross-disciplinary collaborative culture" where different fields cooperate.

In a hackathon environment where every minute counts, "reprinting from scratch" often means losing a tremendous amount of time.
Bambu Lab printers come standard with automatic bed leveling, vibration compensation, and smart calibration functions, maintaining stable output and excellent quality even during long periods of high-speed operation, significantly reducing print failure rates.
This high-precision printing performance is essential for works that require intricate details and precise fitting parts.

While boasting this high precision, Bambu Lab 3D printers still maintain a very reasonable print speed, guaranteeing the optimal balance of efficiency and quality.

At the event venue, both staff and participants are constantly handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Remote monitoring allows real-time checking of print progress, receiving completion notifications, and quickly detecting print anomalies. This reduces the burden of manual supervision and dramatically improves overall management efficiency.
Even when operating multiple devices simultaneously, the operational workflow can be kept very smooth.

For educational institutions, makerspaces, or contest events, not only equipment performance but also the overall initial investment cost is an extremely important decision factor.
Bambu Lab achieves a wonderful balance between high-speed printing, smart automation features, and high stability, providing more students and creators with the opportunity to access high-quality digital manufacturing equipment while lowering the barrier to entry.

See you next year!

The greatest charm of MakeNTU lies in the opportunity to transform even the most outlandish and free-spirited ideas into real works in just a few dozen hours.
From AI applications to smart devices, and even interactive design and sustainable technology, the venue always showcases astonishing results of innovation.
Through our sponsorship of this event, we want to continue supporting more young creators in exploring technology, putting ideas into practice, and accumulating valuable experience through teamwork and challenges.
As an authorized distributor of 3D printing and digital manufacturing equipment, 3DMart (三帝瑪) will continue to invest in the development of the educational field and the Maker ecosystem, supporting many creators in truly realizing the ideas in their minds.
We look forward to even more innovative works that surpass our imagination at future MakeNTU events.
