【settings】
1. Adjust the tripod height to 4.5 feet (1.37 meters).
2. Tighten the gimbal to the center post of the tripod base.
3. Remove the Pro3 from the case. Gently pull the red ribbon to lift the camera.
4. Insert the battery. Place the camera on its side on a flat surface. Align the battery with the pins in the battery slot and snap it into place. Do not force the battery in; if you feel you need to use too much force, stop and make sure it is properly aligned.
5. Open the clip on the side of the gimbal. Align the mounting hole on the bottom of the camera with the top of the gimbal and lock it in place. Then close the side clip to secure the camera and keep it stable.
- The camera's rotation axis is aligned with the lens, not the center of the camera. This unique profile is designed for optimal capture and ensures stability and security when properly mounted.
6. Turn on the power. Press and hold the power button located below the display screen on the back of the camera (for about 2 seconds).
- Remove the magnetic lens cap. The camera display screen shows the Matterport logo, indicating that it is starting up and warming up.

【Maintenance Method】
-
Moving cameras
The Matterport Pro3 Camera is sensitive and carefully calibrated. When transporting the camera, always place it in a padded carry-on bag or case and handle it with care. If traveling by air, we recommend keeping the camera in your carry-on baggage.
-
Lens maintenance
Treat your Pro3 Camera lens like you would a DSLR lens. To remove fingerprints, use camera lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Dust the lens first each time, then apply the cleaner to the cloth (not directly to the lens). Rotating lenses require the same care.
-
Storage and temperature
Do not use or store the Pro3 in extremely high temperatures. Battery performance will degrade, and battery life will be shortened. Store the camera at room temperature and remove the battery.
[Safety Precautions]
stability
Always ensure that the camera is handled correctly on a flat, stable surface. If the Pro3 is tipped over, it may result in personal injury or damage to the camera.
General Purpose
|
Do not disassemble or remove the camera. There are no user-repairable parts inside the camera. Use only Matterport-recommended equipment and accessories, and follow the setup instructions in this guide. |
Rotating mirror
|
The rotating mirror spins at high speed during and shortly after scanning. To protect your personal safety and avoid damaging the Pro3, keep your hands, hair, or any other objects a safe distance from the rotating mirror components while it is rotating. |
