[Vacuum Forming Applications] 5 Chocolates: Awakening the Soul of Desserts! An Edible Coffee Cup?

Awaken your sweet tooth this Lunar New Year holiday! Five dessert masterpieces, created by international pastry chefs using vacuum forming technology , giving you endless creative inspiration! Not limited to traditional molds, any shape you can imagine is formed in just 3 seconds with a single press. A chocolate collection:

Swedish dessert enthusiast Erik Möller used vacuum forming technology to place a vintage microphone into a FormBox vacuum forming machine to create a chocolate mold. He then split the microphone in half to make the dessert filling, and finally put the two halves back together, successfully recreating the microphone's intricate details. The lifelike microphone, when cut open, reveals an amazing chocolate dessert. Grab your microphone, belt out some high notes, and then take a bite!

Matt Mattlar, a self-taught British bread and pastry designer, researches innovative techniques to make baking more accessible! He vacuum-forms glass cups, fills them with chocolate, and lets them cool and solidify into cup shapes. You can then add your favorite beverage to the cup—no extra container needed! After drinking, you can simply eat the cup itself—eco-friendly and delicious! ( Click to see: Even those with no baking skills can make desserts? Shaped cakes unlocked in seconds! )

Smitha Grosse, pastry chef at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, uses vacuum forming technology with food-safe injection-molded sheets to add a pencil sharpener handle to a chocolate cake. This not only incorporates childhood memories but also allows her to experiment with various ideas at the lowest cost, completing the final pencil sharpener design before starting small-batch dessert production!

Joshua, a designer at the 301 Chocolates chocolate factory in the United States, used the FormBox vacuum forming technology —simple, fast, and infinitely reproducible—to customize cassette chocolates with the names of local musicians and bands, which were then mass-produced for music festival celebrations! The vacuum forming machine simplifies the production process of customized desserts, and the finished chocolates are stacked layer upon layer, just like in a record store, creating a very soothing sight!

The Australian-created art collective "Corridor Crew" combines 3D scanning , 3D printing , and vacuum forming techniques to create chocolate faces of their friends. They then laugh at each other and eat each other's faces – a crazy and delicious creation! They even went so far as to use the finished vacuum-formed molds to make ice cubes, toss each other into water, and then drink it – a simple and fun process! ( Click here: Are lollipops your faces?
