Form Studio Wash+Cure Integrated Washing and Curing Station for Resin 3D Printing
The Form Studio Wash+Cure is a compact post-processing unit for resin 3D printing that integrates washing and curing functions. By combining these two essential steps into one device, it streamlines the workflow from completed print to final product.
Integrated Washing and Curing in One Unit
Resin 3D printed models typically require two post-processing steps: washing and curing. By integrating both functions into a single device, the Form Studio Wash+Cure reduces the floor space required for additional equipment, consolidates post-processing steps, and enables intuitive operation.
Washing Mode
All parts created via resin 3D printing require the removal of uncured resin remaining on the surface after the print is complete.
The Form Wash+Cure agitates IPA or other compatible washing solvents around the parts, ensuring uniform and efficient cleaning.
Curing Mode
The Form Wash+Cure uses a 405 nm light source for post-curing, further advancing the polymerization reaction that began during the printing process but remains unfinished.
Proper post-curing can further improve the final material properties of resin parts.
Efficient Washing Process for Resin 3D Printing
The washing mode of the Form Wash+Cure can be used with IPA or other compatible washing solvents. The flow of the solvent removes resin remaining on the surface of the model or in its fine details.
After washing, simply remove the internal wash basket from the solvent and let the parts air dry before moving on to the next curing step.
Improve Final Part Performance with 405 nm Post-Curing
Resin 3D printed parts are not fully cured immediately after printing. The Form Studio Wash+Cure uses a 405 nm light source for post-curing to further advance the material's curing reaction.
Proper post-curing improves the mechanical and thermal performance of parts based on the type and properties of the resin, and also improves surface conditions.
- Increases part strength.
- Improves toughness.
- Improves heat resistance.
- Increases creep resistance.
- Increases hardness.
- Reduces surface tackiness on certain resin prints.
Compatible with Multiple Resin Washing Solvents
The Form Studio Wash+Cure can be used with various washing methods depending on your workflow.
IPA
Isopropyl Alcohol is a solvent widely used for cleaning resin 3D printed parts, capable of removing uncured resin from the model surface.
TPM
The Form Studio Wash+Cure is also compatible with TPM, allowing for selection based on the material and your specific post-processing workflow.
Resin Washing Solution
Use it in combination with Formlabs Resin Washing Solution to build a Formlabs resin printing and post-processing workflow.
Benefits of Using an Integrated Washing and Curing Station
Save Workspace
By integrating washing and curing into one unit, you reduce the footprint required for two separate pieces of post-processing equipment.
Streamline Workflow
Since both washing and curing can be performed on the same equipment, you can consolidate your resin 3D printing post-processing.
Reduce Manual Labor
Maintains more consistent washing and curing steps, reducing the variability that occurs when processes are performed manually.
Ideal for Daily Resin Printing
Makes it easier to build a post-processing workflow for workshops, product design, engineering prototyping, and daily resin 3D printing applications.
