[3D Printing News] Ultimaker Education Challenge Postponed

Given the large number of applicants, the competition deadline has been extended from September 15th to October 30th, 2017.
We encourage everyone to seize this opportunity and register enthusiastically to win a top-quality 3D printer and training opportunity.
Competition theme

Ultimaker, a leader in the 3D printing technology industry, hosted a competition for all creative and passionate teachers in the Asia-Pacific region.

This competition encourages innovation and practice; participating teachers are required to design courses incorporating 3D printing technology.
The competition will announce its final results in November , and the winner will win a high-end 3D printer for their school.

This competition aims to encourage teachers to be bold in innovation, use new technologies to design courses, and experience Ultimaker's self-created educational platform, the "Ultimaker Pioneer Program," together with other teachers .
Teachers from Australia, India, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan are all eligible to participate in this competition.  
The two winners from each country or region will receive a brand new Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker 3 printer, 3D printing materials, professional training, and the opportunity to share their ideas with teachers around the world through the Ultimaker Pioneer Program.

Ultimaker encourages teachers to use 3D printing technology in the classroom and promotes its application in various university courses.

Entry Requirements

• The work must be suitable for classroom teaching, and a course plan must be submitted.
• This competition is open only to teachers from Australia, India, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan.
• Written only in English
• The deadline for submissions is October 30, 2017.

Judging Rules

The two winners from each country or region will receive a brand new 3D printer and eight sets of 3D printing materials for their respective schools , provided by Ultimaker.
Their local service providers offer them professional training.
They will also be invited to join Ultimaker’s pioneering program to build a global knowledge-sharing repository and promote 3D printing in the classroom.
The competition will be judged by a team of 3D printing experts and professional teachers, including Julia Haried, co-founder of Makergirl.
Aric Rindfleisch, executive director of MakerLab in Illinois, and Ruben Brandsma, an education expert for visually impaired children .
