The shimmering metal parts are incredibly eye-catching; most people would mistake them for commercially available products. In fact, they are also made using 3D printing. Go check out our previous article!
Let's review how to make it~
In this article, we'll also be introducing castings, this time focusing on parts from inside aircraft! 
We use the Ultimaker3 3D printer for printing. The filament used is a special industrial-grade polycast filament, which can be sent directly to the manufacturing plant to make molds after printing, producing metal parts with near-finished quality.
3D printing filament trivia: PolyCast is a material specifically designed for metal investment casting (lost-wax casting). It can be polished with an alcohol polisher and can be completely melted during casting to ensure the integrity of the mold cavity.

After printing is complete, carefully remove the support, and you have the finished printed product! It's then directly handed over to the foundry for post-processing. Please see the image below for the final product after casting and polishing!
Aircraft parts are highly complex in detail. Small parts, such as the central support, cannot be manufactured using industrial machines like CNC. However, with a 3D printer, you can easily complete them without worrying about mass production; even a single piece can be made.
