Snapmaker, one of the brands handled by our company 3DMart Ltd., celebrated its 7th anniversary in 2023. Looking back at the past year, Snapmaker has achieved steady growth thanks to the support and patronage of many users, and we will continue to develop further.
What is Snapmaker?
Snapmaker is a technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells desktop multi-functional 3D printers. We aim to make creation accessible to everyone by providing high-quality and easy-to-use desktop manufacturing machines.
Established in 2016, we developed a 3-in-1 machine that integrates 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting, and CNC machining into one unit, winning numerous international design awards. In 2019, it gained attention as the 3D printer that achieved the highest crowdfunding amount in the world. Snapmaker is supported by users worldwide, with approximately 90% of orders coming from overseas markets.
New product releases and advancements in both hardware and software
Snapmaker values user feedback and continuously innovates to meet expectations. In June, we launched the Snapmaker 2.0 Quick Swap Kit series, significantly reducing the module change time and improving work efficiency. In July, we announced the 20W and 40W Laser Modules, allowing 3D printers to be upgraded to higher-performance desktop laser processing machines. Furthermore, in August, we launched the Snapmaker Ray, our first standalone laser engraver and cutter. It supports processing various materials, making it easier to bring creative ideas to life.
To meet user needs, Snapmaker's software Luban has also undergone continuous updates.
Version 4.8.0 added mesh painting and multi-color model slicing capabilities, allowing two colors to be applied to different parts of a model. An online case library was also released, allowing users to share models for multi-material printing.
Furthermore, version 4.10.0 improved laser processing parameters for images and graphics, enabling more precise engraving of complex designs by fine-tuning various settings.
Showcasing capabilities at exhibitions
Snapmaker officially entered the global market by unveiling the Artisan 3-in-1 3D Printer and the J1 3D Printer (current model is J1s) at CES 2023 in January 2023.
The Artisan 3-in-1 also received a CES Innovation Award in 2023.
In November, Snapmaker exhibited at Formnext 2023 in Germany, where the Snapmaker Ray 40W Laser Machine was showcased offline for the first time, attracting significant attention and positive feedback from visitors.
High praise from the industry
The Snapmaker Artisan 3-in-1 and J1 3D Printer received the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and were IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) 2023 Finalists, three of the world's most prestigious design awards.
In addition, the Snapmaker J1 won the Excellent Product Design Award at the Goldreed Industrial Design Award from approximately 7,000 entries, receiving high praise.

Strengthening global partnerships and aiming for mutual growth
Last year, many international partners visited Snapmaker and toured our factory with our local staff. By deepening their understanding of the manufacturing process, we shared our commitment to producing high-quality, reliable products and further strengthened our long-term collaborative relationships.
Snapmaker also actively visited partners around the world to exchange a wide range of opinions on future collaborations and business development, sharing a vision for further growth.
The director of our 3DMart Hong Kong branch (bottom right) is also a Snapmaker partner.
On the day, we received detailed explanations about the factory and products, experienced practical and cost-effective products, and further deepened the trust between both companies through cordial exchanges.
Deepening connections with users and fostering community
Each community member embodies the Snapmaker creator spirit. Feedback from the user community is an indispensable and vital element in product development.
In 2023, we focused on further strengthening our collaboration with the community and building user trust through transparent communication. Before launching new products, we invited some users as early adopters to experience the products firsthand, which helped us further improve quality.
Many users also participated in beta testing of firmware and software, providing valuable feedback for improvements.
In May, as a contribution to the open-source community, Snapmaker released the source code for the J1 3D printer controller to further develop the J1 into a better 3D printer.
Furthermore, in November, we launched the "Starmaker Program" to recognize members who have made significant contributions to the community.
At Formnext 2023, we also provided opportunities for direct interaction with enthusiastic users from around the world, engaging in lively discussions about their product experiences.
Snapmaker will continue to cherish its connection with the community, listen to user voices, and strive to create products that allow everyone to experience the joy of creation.
