[3D Printer Tutorial] Sinterit Lisa Basic Installation and Operation Procedures

The Sinterit Lisa desktop 3D printer uses laser powder sintering ( SLS ) technology for 3D printing, where powder materials are heated and fused together inside the machine. Polymer powder layers are placed on the printing platform within the Sinterit and fused together according to each horizontal section to form the desired shape until the finished print is complete.

II. 3D Printing Parameters and Model Design Guide

Wall thickness The wall thickness of 3D printing must be sufficient to support the model. For larger objects, we recommend using 0.8mm, while for smaller objects, a lower wall thickness of 0.4mm can be used.
Embossing and carving details A minimum detail size of 0.1mm is sufficient to print clearly visible details. If you plan to include some relief or engraving styles, it is recommended to add a minimum thickness of 0.15mm and a depth of 0.15mm.
Embossing and engraving If you plan to include text, it is recommended to add a minimum line width of 0.5-0.6mm and a depth of 0.5mm. Use a bold sans-serif font to improve readability, such as Arial Bold.
Minimum feature size The minimum feature size for SLS printing is 1 mm. If your function is a thin line connecting both sides, it can be slightly thinner to 0.5 mm, but a thickness of at least 0.8 mm is recommended.
Functional gaps Movable or interlocking structures are a powerful feature of SLS and can be completed in a single print. A minimum gap of 0.2 mm must be maintained between elements; if it is the first time using it, we recommend maintaining at least 0.5 mm.
Powder outlet Sometimes it is necessary to increase the gap or make additional powder outlet holes to remove components such as hinges when moving them over long distances. It is recommended to make an outlet hole with a diameter of at least 4mm in the model.


III. Sinterit Studio Software Installation Instructions


1. Connect the USB hard drive included in the device to the computer's USB port.
2. Locate the Sinterit Studio folder.
3. Double-click on the Sinterit StudioSetup.exe icon.



4. Select the installation language.



5. Follow the instructions on the installation screen.



6. Once installed, you can use the Sinterit Studio software.



Equipment Requirements:

• Windows 7 or later. • Minimum 500 MB of storage space. • At least 2 GB of RAM.
A graphics display compatible with OpenGL 3.0 or later.

IV. Initial Machine Use and Unpacking Procedures


1. Remove the 3D printer from its packaging and carefully remove the protective film and paper.
2. Place it on a stable and solid flat surface (ideally where the printer is intended to be placed).
3. Connect the 3D printer to a power source.
4. Switch the power button on the back (from 0 to 1).
5. Check if the red safety button is pulled open. If not, rotate it clockwise one-quarter turn.
6. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it clockwise a quarter turn. After a while, the Sinterit Lisa will start.


After opening Sinterit Lisa , the startup screen will be displayed, which has three functions: "Start New Print", "Clean Printer" and "Advanced Mode" (in previous software versions).

When using the Sinterit Lisa printer for the first time, select advanced mode and set the printer to a WiFi network.

7. Connect the 3D printer to Wi-Fi.



To connect the printer to a WiFi network, please select the ADVANCED MODE option.


1. On the printer's touchscreen, select ADVANCED MODE.
2. On the printer's touchscreen, select ADVANCED //SELECT WI-FI.
3. Locate the network you want to connect to, and then click on its name.
4. If necessary, enter your password and then press OK.
5. Next to SELECT WI-FI, you can see the connected networks.



If you wish to use the older version of the software, please press the BACK button to return to STANDARD MODE.


8. Preparing for 3D printing

Select the "START NEW PRINT" option and open the lid to display the main screen.



1. To open the printer, release the magnetic lock on the lid by selecting the "UNLOCK LID" option. After releasing the lock for 10 seconds, the system will count down for 10 seconds before the magnetic lock closes again.
2. Press down gently and then gently lift the printer cover.
3. Turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the socket.
4. Carefully disassemble the internal transmission protection device and the transmission protection device around the laser.
5. Install laser protective glass:
a. Secure the heating element and remove the pin (or wire) at the top inside.

※WARNING! Be careful of sharp edges and wear safety gloves to prevent injury to your hands from the edges of the heating module.

b . Lower the heating module beforehand to accommodate the laser light shielding glass.

c . Remove the laser protective glass from the box (remove the packaging from the accessory).

d . Carefully wipe the glass surface with an alcohol swab (be careful not to leave any fibers on the surface), cleaning both sides.



e. The figure shows the laser light protection glass being correctly placed on the heater module.







f . Connect the heating module to the lid – using metal latches.

g . Clean any fingerprints or stains on the glass again.

6. Check (wearing gloves or through paper) that the heater's socket is secure. If there is dust/powder on it, blow it dry gently.





※Caution! Please remember not to touch the heating bulb with your fingers or greasy objects (such as dirty cloths). Dirt and grease may cause localized overheating and burn out the heater or even cause an explosion during printing.

7. Confirm that the powder chamber and printing platform are ready (during initial startup, after unpacking, the printing platform should be the same as the printer's packaging), and check that the wires and the guide plate of the coating machine are clean (it should be located in the middle of the printing platform).

8. Remove the cover of the coating machine and wipe the rotating shaft with an alcohol swab.

9. After performing all these steps, the printer can be reconnected to the power supply and is ready to print .

※Important! A yellow triangle displayed on the side of the screen indicates a malfunction. Open the cover and check the printer immediately. Once the cover is open and all visible components are undamaged (carefully inspect them); refer to the code displayed inside the warning triangle and provide the device's serial number to contact a service technician.
