[3D Printing News] Ultimaker Cura 4.0 officially released, free to download!

Ultimaker Cura 4.0 is officially released! Whether you're a beginner or a 3D printing expert, you can benefit from its simplified process. Cura 4.0 adds Ultimaker Cloud, making your 3D printing workflow even smoother. Download link at the end! Now let's take a look at the intro video:

The new user interface in Ultimaker Cura is more adaptable to various types of users. The old control area is now displayed at the top. The 3D model appearance can be seen in the "Preparation" section, while the "Layered View" and "Preview View" that simulate the 3D printing process have been moved to the "Preview" section. The "Monitor" section allows users to monitor the printing progress of the Ultimaker printer .

The collapsible interface allows for selection based on needs, making the operation window larger and clearer. The "Recommended" mode at the bottom of the window provides quick and easy automatic parameters; switching to "Custom" mode allows you to manually adjust more than 300 slice settings as needed, and also keeps all settings within the visible range.

A new "Market" option has been added to the upper right corner of the main interface, allowing users to select available plug-ins and cable parameters; there are also website links in the cable category, making it easier for users to obtain product descriptions and place orders.

User Login

The new Cura allows users to log in to their Ultimaker account directly from the interface and use Ultimaker Cloud features.

Work from the comfort of your office by storing your settings in the cloud for use on any computer, compatible with Windows, Mac, or Linux. Creating or restoring backups requires an Ultimaker account and an internet connection; each Ultimaker account currently supports up to five backups.

Remote printing

After logging into your Ultimaker Cura account, you can send and monitor print jobs from one end of the earth to the other via Ultimaker Cloud. Currently, each account can be linked to one Ultimaker printer.

*Note: This feature is only available for Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 printers with firmware 5.2 (coming soon).

(By connecting printers to the Ultimaker Cloud, jobs can be linked together around the world.)

External cheat rating mechanism

The new version allows you to view reviews and ratings of these plugins to quickly find the right features, and you can also leave your opinions and experiences.
