We've used 3D scanners to scan motorcycle body shells before, do you remember?
What's most amazing about the car body is the level of detail on the back; even the tiny holes connecting the parts are scanned very completely.
This time, we will also be introducing a car-related part – the taillight housing.
First, let's take a look at the shape of the object to be scanned. There are two holes in the front for placing the headlights, and there is an extra handle in the back.



Because the object is made of a highly reflective metallic material, we need to apply a scanning and positioning sticker first, and then spray powder on it.

When applying the scanning positioning stickers, try not to make their positions too regular or too neat. The denser the dots are, the more accurate the scanning effect will be.

Make sure to stick it on both the front and back completely!
