[3D Scanning Application] EinScan SP Unboxing Review: Twice the Accuracy and Speed!

Not long ago, we used the SHINING series 3D scanner to test its 3D scanning performance ( click here to see ). Those who follow Sandima will likely have noticed the "EinScan SP scanner" on their website, which is very similar to the "EinScan SE scanner," but boasts twice the scanning speed and accuracy! Today, let's unbox it and see for ourselves:

First, connect the " EinScan SP " 3D scanner and the software. The system will display the "calibration" procedure. Just follow the steps to complete the calibration, and you can start scanning in 3 minutes!

The EinScan SP comes with a detachable stand and tripod; when scanning small objects, you can choose a fixed scanning mode with a fixed scanning distance within the range, which can quickly and accurately complete 3D images.

We use SP 's fixed scanning mode to scan the "Sanos" printed with photopolymerization in 3D . The turntable will automatically rotate 360 degrees during the scan, and the scan can be completed in just 3 minutes. It can achieve high-speed scanning while also ensuring detail accuracy.

There's no need to worry when scanning large objects. Simply use a tripod to fix the scanner and connect it to the scanning turntable, and you can freely control the distance and angle between the scanner and the object.

Next, we used the tripod scanning mode to 3D scan the King Kong printed by Ultimaker . When scanning objects with complex details, the tripod angle can be adjusted freely as needed. SP will automatically calibrate the model position, greatly improving the completeness and speed of 3D scanning . The King Kong scan was completed in just 10 minutes!

For the same 3D model, we used SE and SP to perform 3D scanning respectively. SP only takes 4 seconds to scan a single image and can obtain a complete 3D image of Donkey Kong in 10 minutes, while SE alone takes 20 minutes, which is twice as long as SP!

SE primarily uses point scanning, and due to its limited scanning range, it is more suitable for scanning small objects. For a budget of NT$50,000, it is a 3D scanner with excellent accuracy and speed. SP is suitable for scanning objects of various sizes, with a wider range of applications. Its accuracy and speed are also twice as fast as SE . Compared to the industrial-grade " EinScan Pro 2X+ ", it is a 3D scanner with extremely high cost-performance!
