[3D Printing Application] Sinterit's fourth new sample: Road bike pedals can also be printed!
Sinterit 's new multi-functional printed products are here! This time, they're featuring bicycle "clamps," multi-functional pedals used by road bikers to secure their feet. Clamps work by using a special locking mechanism on the sole to firmly hold the feet in place, effectively maximizing power output and reducing the risk of injury. The video shows that the pedals have a spring-loaded structure and a snap-fit mechanism, as well as a rotating structure to connect with the bicycle. Sinterit is a 3D printing technology using SLS laser powder sintering, which is suitable for printing multifunctional structures or movable devices. Therefore, we selected this complex 3D printed sample.
All structures can be completed in a single 3D print , and SLS technology requires no support; it uses PA12 powder printing, which is rigid, and the structure that connects to the bicycle frame can rotate completely 360 degrees. The part that connects to the sole has two latches, one movable and one fixed; you can see that the 3D printed latch has a slightly protruding structure, as well as an automatic rebound system for the movable latch. 
Also included is a close-up of the front structure. The springs in this 3D print are separate, unlike the previous prints which were connected to the structure. The round screw in the center at the bottom can also rotate freely.
