[Pressure Molding] Mayku Multiplier Firmware Update! Creating a more free and convenient user experience!
Mayku previously held a Multiplier event The competition offers participants the chance to win £500 worth of sheet and reduced diameter slab ! Reduced diameter slabs integrate perfectly with the Mayku Multiplier, compressing the Multiplier's forming area to A4 or US letter format, thus accessing hundreds of sheet suppliers worldwide and reducing waste!

The winner is now announced!
Congratulations to Multiplier user Jonathan Hernandez for his entry: a motorcycle seat under-tray made from 3mm HIPS sheet.
This piece was made for a client who wanted to revive a popular, discontinued motorcycle part. The process involved 3D scanning the original tray before using a 3D printing tool. After molding using a Mayku Multiplier, the edges were cleaned using a Dremel hand tool with a sandpaper roller attachment to complete the final product.

A total of 50 trays were made—Mayku is delighted that the multiplier was used to create parts that are no longer available! Could this spark a craze for replicating vintage items?!
What else can the Mayku Multiplier benchtop compression molding machine do?
The Mayku Multiplier is touted as "the world's first benchtop compression molding machine!" Unlike traditional vacuum forming, it uses pressure to tightly adhere a plastic sheet to the mold surface while simultaneously using a heat source to soften the plastic, which is then cooled and solidified. This compression molding method can handle complex three-dimensional shapes, and because of the heating step, it is also known as thermoforming. Thermoforming is used in a wide range of manufacturing processes to produce various products, including in the following industries:
• Automobiles and Transportation
Thermoforming is widely used in the automotive and transportation industries to produce internal and external parts. These parts are made of materials such as ABS, which can withstand high temperatures and pressures.
• Medical devices and equipment
Thermoforming is an ideal process for manufacturing medical devices and equipment. It can provide sterilizable, durable, lightweight, and precise parts.
• Packaging and Display
Thermoforming is widely used in the packaging and display industries. These parts are typically made of materials such as PETG , HIPS , and PVC, offering transparency and excellent impact resistance.
Electrical and electronic equipment
Thermoforming is an ideal solution for producing electrical and electronic components. It provides lightweight, strong, and heat-resistant parts with precision and consistency.
• consumer goods
Thermoforming is a cost-effective method for producing consumer goods with fine details and tight tolerances. It is an ideal solution for manufacturers that need to meet high standards.
• Industrial equipment
Thermoforming is widely used in many industries and is a key method for prototyping and manufacturing specific applications.

What is a Mayku Multiplier reducing plate?
Using reducing plates opens up a new world of materials and reduces waste.
Through seamless integration with the Mayku Multiplier , reduction sheet effectively shrinks the forming area to A4 or US letter format. This reduction provides access to numerous global suppliers specializing in straight-cut sheet, making it easier to procure specific or specialized sheet materials.
Furthermore, when molding smaller parts, the reducing plate minimizes material waste and ensures precise material usage. Because it uses less material, it also reduces the likelihood of curling on the final part.
Using reducing plates , you can also begin molding thicker materials (over 5 mm thick), allowing you to create rock-solid, intricately detailed parts from a variety of different materials.
At the other end, the reducing plate can use extremely thin materials down to 100 micrometers to enable ultra-thin film applications !
