But what are the differences between using the Ultimaker industrial-grade 3D printer and the Prusa I3 MK3S 3D printer ( a more casual, user-friendly model)? Today, we'll demonstrate this using a drill to assemble the parts inside!

This time, we mainly used the Original Prusa i3 MK3S single-head 3D printer and the Ultimaker dual-head 3D printer to print the body and support structure of the parts in different ways. At first glance, they seem to be no different.
Contestant number one used the Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer . Unlike the Ultimaker 3D printer , which uses a pipeline to deliver the filament, the Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer uses a direct drive method ( what is direct drive? ). The printhead itself has a pusher, so the filament is directly pushed into the heated nozzle, making filament changing relatively simple; however, because the printhead and drive motor are integrated, the printhead must bear the weight and vibration of the pusher during printing.
The support structure of a 3D printer has a lower density and a looser structure than the main body, allowing it to be easily separated from the main body during disassembly, while maintaining the accuracy and texture of the finished product.

The Ultimaker dual-head 3D printer can use two types of filaments simultaneously. Our second candidate uses water-soluble PVA filament to print the support structure, printing the part body and support at the same time. After completion, it can be easily dissolved by immersing it together with the body in cold water, resulting in a very smooth part surface.
The drill part has a spiral structure with a diameter of 2.5 cm and many holes. Both the Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer and the Ultimaker printer produced high precision, but there are still some differences in the details.
The industrial-grade Ultimaker 3D printer features dual printheads, allowing it to print two different types and colors of filament simultaneously. This results in high surface finish and creates more possibilities for 3D printing . While the Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer , used by professional users, is less precise than the Ultimaker 3D printer , it still performs excellently for a machine under 50,000 NTD.
