[3D Printing Workshop] What does the 3D printing workshop cover?! Software hands-on practice is all included!

The first 3D printing workshop held by Sandima after the Lunar New Year has come to a successful conclusion! What was covered in the workshop? There were also exciting quizzes and prizes after the class. Let's take a look! In addition to providing refreshments, coffee and drinks for everyone to enjoy, so you don't have to worry about getting hungry or dozing off, there were also various 3D printing samples for everyone to freely view and ask questions. Staff members were on hand to provide detailed explanations for you.

First, we will give a general introduction to three different 3D printing technologies. Understanding the principles is the first step to using them correctly. We will also explain the process of converting a desktop 3D printer, Ultimaker, into metal casting and metalworking products, expanding the application areas.

This time, the process of using Ultimaker S5 is explained in more detail, including the differences between the dual-nozzle systems and usage tips, making it very suitable for beginners.



In addition, in the feedback from last time, everyone hoped to see the actual operation of the 3D printer . We used the latest Ultimaker S5 as a demonstration. In addition to the professional engineers demonstrating the operation, we also specially opened up the venue for friends to try the steps of changing the printhead, cleaning, and feeding materials.





This course also details the various functions of Cura 3.6 . Since this software is free, although it's officially developed by Ultimaker , it also supports many other brands of machines and materials. Besides its powerful function of automatically calculating support material requirements, it also allows manual adjustment of the calculated support needs and positions, enabling users to modify, shift, or delete materials in a very user-friendly way.

Finally, we had a fun pop quiz that everyone enjoyed, feeling both nervous and excited! The top three winners received our prize – a free 3D printing card, providing one free 3D printing service, allowing you to have a personalized souvenir!
