[3D Scan Comparison] Peel 3d vs. SHINING 3D: Faithfully Reproducing Sneaker Color and Texture!

When scanning black, glossy, or transparent materials, you can improve scan accuracy by using a 3D scanning spray. Simply spray AESUB Blue self-evaporating scanning spray evenly onto the object to create an easy-to-scan surface. AESUB Blue evaporates naturally in about 4 hours, so no cleaning is required. 1. Calibration Procedure
Follow the instructions of the SHINING 3D scanning software and adjust to the calibration board. Turn on the scanner, move it slowly from bottom to top, and it's complete when all green checkmarks appear. Then, lift the calibration board with the dedicated stand and perform the remaining calibration according to the software instructions.
2. Scanning Procedure

1. Calibration Procedure

2. Scanning Procedure
Before starting the scan, if you enable "Target/Feature" and "Texture acquisition" in the Peel 3d software, the Peel 2 CAD-S can acquire the object's original color information simultaneously.
For scanning sneakers, you can use a dedicated turntable to rotate the object while scanning. Additionally, by changing the setup direction, you can scan every detail without omission. The scanning time with Peel 3d was about 20 minutes.
After completing the 3D scan, enabling "Texture Display" allows you to view the object's original colors. Switching to "Mesh Display" allows you to view the scanned mesh data.
