2. Calibration Procedure
The Shining 3D EinStar comes with a dedicated "calibration board." Before starting a 3D scan, simply follow the software's instructions to align with the scan frame for calibration, and the system adjustment is complete. Calibration is divided into two steps, capturing from five different angles (top, front-diagonal, rear-diagonal, left-diagonal, right-diagonal). For white balance, move the scanning device slowly and steadily up and down. When the software indicates the appropriate height, the scanning device will automatically capture and complete the white balance adjustment.

The Shining 3D EinStar boasts an extremely wide scanning range of 434 × 379 mm, allowing for efficient data acquisition with a single scan. For scanning Thanos' gauntlet, which is about 30cm high, it is recommended to use a turntable to freely rotate the model's angle. All details can be fully captured in about 20 minutes. Since the gems on Thanos' gauntlet are transparent, using AESUB Orange 3D scanning spray is recommended. 4. Software Operation
The EXStar software features a visual and user-friendly interface, incorporating multiple advanced software functions and guided scanning features. It allows for easy acquisition of high-quality point cloud data. After calibration is complete, you move to the scan screen, where you can select scene modes for people and objects. Choose the optimal mode depending on the situation.

The device has a scan start/stop button, and the preview window displays the actual focus status, with the real-time scan screen in the central area. The left edge indicates the appropriate scanning distance range; the lower part shows when it's too close, and the upper part shows when it's too far. Try to maintain the appropriate distance range in the center.
After the scan is complete, use selection tools such as rectangle/polygon/lasso to remove unwanted areas. Then, click "Generate Point Cloud."

Once you confirm there are no unwanted objects other than the scanned subject, click "Generate Model." Select "Fully Enclosed Model," and the save/output formats can be chosen from PLY, OBJ, STL, and 3MF.

Looking at the completed 3D scan of Thanos' gauntlet, even the intricate pattern details are visible. The color changes, finger joints, and rock patterns of the base are all reproduced with high precision, perfectly replicating the power of the finger-snapping scene!
