You can choose to connect to a PC or smartphone, and by using the dedicated Revo Scan software, you can perform various secondary processing tasks such as editing and optimizing 3D models. It is equipped with comprehensive editing functions including "Trimming," "Meshing," "Simplification," "Hole Filling," and "Alignment," which are useful for adjusting or merging models. It also supports multiple software and file formats, including the three most common ones: PLY, OBJ, and STL. With compatibility with many professional design programs and 3D printers, it creates a creative workflow that integrates "scan, edit, and output" into one.
How to Connect to a PC
Simply connect the USB data cable to your PC and launch the software. No special configuration is required; it is ready to use as soon as it is connected.
When you start the software, the binocular infrared scan feed appears in the top left, and the color camera feed appears in the bottom right. You can check the current scanning status in real-time, and the large area in the center of the screen shows the 3D scan data as it is built. Brighter areas indicate regions that have been scanned, while gray areas are those not yet scanned. This makes it easy to see the progress, ensuring intuitive operation! The distance between the scanner and the object is displayed on the right. Orange indicates the scanner is too close, while green indicates the optimal or correct distance; please try to keep the distance within the green range during scanning. It supports long-range scanning from 300mm to 800mm, with a single scan range of 360 × 650mm @ 600mm.
The RANGE's new aspherical lenses achieve single-frame precision of up to 0.1mm and 0.3mm 3D point cloud data. Through a high-precision calibration system, it can output professional-grade, high-definition scan data. You can select the object type from "Normal Object," "Dark/Black Object," or "Human Body." Choose the optimal scan mode for your target. If the object has black parts, selecting the "Dark/Black Object" mode makes it easier to scan.
Using it with a large turntable is even more convenient. It can support large objects weighing up to 200kg, and supports forward/reverse rotation via remote control. You don't have to worry about the difficulty of scanning large or heavy objects.
To provide a more comfortable outdoor experience, the "handle-integrated power bank" enables completely wireless handheld scanning, with up to 2 hours of continuous runtime. Additionally, a "smartphone holder" and "detachable tripod" are included, allowing for use in a variety of applications and scenarios. You can seamlessly switch between fixed scanning, portable handheld scanning, indoor scanning, and outdoor operation, allowing for unrestricted creative work!
