The renowned shoe brand Camper has launched a variety of popular and innovative shoe styles. Previously, the Camper team averaged three months to design a new product line, with outsourced sample production taking up to two weeks. To develop more new shoe styles more freely and quickly, the Camper team collaborated with BCN3D for the first time, achieving remarkable results with annual sales exceeding 4 million pairs of shoes! After initially developing a new shoe design, Camper designers used 3D printing technology to print out their abstract ideas directly within a day! The next day, they could immediately receive a physical 3D printed shoe model. Any ideas that needed adjustment or testing could be modified immediately. Whether designing men's or women's shoes, designers could be more daring in proposing design ideas, greatly improving the feasibility of each creative idea.

The Camper team uses PLA filament , the most common material in 3D printing , to create shoe samples with various complex structures. PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament is often used to test concept models, industrial parts, architectural models, casting molds and other samples with various complex shapes.

Models made using PLA filaments produce smooth, flat prints with saturated colors, and the material is inexpensive, allowing for testing of different prototypes without significant investment. Composed of crops such as corn and sugarcane, PLA filaments are renewable and biodegradable, and their use does not impact the environment, making them the preferred material for creating complex samples!

The BCN3D series 3D printers use IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) 3D printing technology , where the two printhead systems are completely separate and move independently, and the movement of the nozzles does not interfere with each other during operation.
