[Unboxing and Measurement] Creality Resin 3D Printer Brings Batman's Arch-Nemesis to Life!
Batman's arch-nemesis makes an appearance! We've recreated the Joker with 3D printing. Achieving 4K ultra-high resolution (3840 x 2400dpi) and a layer thickness of 10 microns for high precision! The "Creality LD-006 Resin 3D Printer" adopts a quartz lamp bead design for more uniform UV light exposure! From corporate manufacturers to hobbyists and designers, it meets various needs such as 3D printing medium-sized models and mass-producing small objects. Let's take a look at the unboxing!
The Creality LD-006 Resin 3D Printer has a similar structure to the Phrozen Sonic Mighty 3D Printer we introduced previously (here: Phrozen Mighty Resin 3D Printer Video Tutorial: Movable Models can also be printed!), both adopting a full-cover structure and operable via touchscreen. Additionally, 3D print data is uploaded using a USB. Accessories include a power cable, scraper, toolbox, and instruction manual.
While there are many resin 3D printers, the Z-axis calibration procedure is basically similar. Following the same logic, after taking the main unit out of the box, open the full cover, remove the accessories, and calibrate the Z-axis in these three steps:
1. Loosen screws
Loosen the screws on the print platform (just loosen, no need to remove) and the screws on the resin vat (need to remove).
2. Place paper, start calibration
The Creality LD-006 comes with a calibration card. Place this on the LCD panel, then select "Tool" > "Manual" on the touchscreen to manually adjust the Z-axis print platform position up and down. Afterward, select "Set Z=0," and the print platform will automatically descend until it is perfectly flush with the calibration card at the bottom.
3. Raise platform, calibration complete
Once the paper at the bottom is completely flush with the LCD panel, re-tighten the fixing screws on both sides of the platform. Finally, follow the instructions on the touchscreen, and the platform will raise back to the top, completing the calibration.
・Upgraded Light Source with Quartz Lamp Beads
The Creality LD-006 Resin 3D Printer features a new light source structure. Combining parallel UV light with an LCD quartz lamp bead design ensures more uniform UV exposure, thereby improving print quality and stable printing efficiency.
・Resin Tank Scale Display
The resin tank of the Creality LD-006 features a convenient scale. Simply pour in the resin you wish to use, and you can start printing immediately (please do not exceed the maximum resin volume).
Select "Print" from the menu and choose the sliced data of your 3D model saved on the USB (here: ChituBox (CHITUBOX) Slicing Software Tutorial). The maximum print size is 192 x 120 x 250mm, which can accommodate the testing of prototypes, models, and precision parts in various fields such as dental models, jewelry, and model design.
With resin 3D printing, the odor from the resin can sometimes be a concern. That's why Creality has equipped it with a dedicated dual-fan cooling system and an activated carbon air filter. This efficiently dissipates heat and ventilates the interior of the 3D printer, while adsorbing and filtering out odors and components from the materials, creating a comfortable working environment.
