Since its founding in 1995, the French company "MCE Metrology" has produced a large number of dimensional measuring machines for applications ranging from automotive and medical to dental clinics, providing customized equipment, technology and services. Initially using traditional processing techniques, the team needed an average of "four weeks" to compare results for each item produced. To produce a large number of customized measuring machines, the key step of creating "prototype samples" is very important, requiring both rapid production and ensuring the quality of the finished product.
The team uses the BCN3D Epsilon W27 3D printer , featuring the unique IDEX (Independent dual extruders) dual-head 3D printing system. It can select between "copy" and "mirror" modes. The two printhead systems are completely separate and operate independently. During operation, the movement of the nozzles does not interfere with each other, resulting in highly efficient and free movement, thereby achieving twice the productivity.

The MCE Metrology team uses PLA , Tough PLA , and ABS filaments , and interchangeably uses water-soluble support materials and carbon fiber filaments to improve the strength and stability of objects. They also continue to develop and use flexible soft materials to make the outer casing of mechanical parts.
When used with the BCN3D Smart Cable Dehumidifier (SC) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), it ensures that the equipment operation is not affected by external power, thus improving the success rate of each 3D print .
