[3D Printing Workshop] A Review of the 2023 NTU Electrical Engineering Makers' Workshop (MakeNTU)
I was honored to be invited to participate in the 2023 NTU Electric Makers' Workshop ( MakeNTU) . MakeNTU focuses on hands-on learning, both hardware and software, to stimulate Makers' creativity and practical skills. Makers will create physical works that closely reflect the theme within a short time, making it the perfect platform for brainstorming, self-learning, and putting ideas into practice! Therefore, 3DMart specially prepared two 3D printers for the workshop to introduce to the participating students, serving as a warm-up for the actual competition! Let's review the highlights of the workshop!
Before the workshop began, staff arrived early to set up the equipment. To ensure students could fully experience the actual printing process of 3D printers, 3DMart brought two very powerful 3D printers to the workshop: the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo 3D printer , hailed worldwide as a game changer in the 3D printing industry! It boasts high-speed printing, a flow rate of 20 m/s², supports 16-color printing, and supports printing on various filament materials. Printing an object approximately 3 cm in size took about 15-20 minutes at the workshop! This was ideal for participants to complete the printing of key structural objects within the short 24-hour competition time.
While the 3D printer was being tested, the students present were very enthusiastic in asking questions! Everyone was very curious about just how amazing Bambu Lab was.
Of course, it's not just Bambu Lab ; 3DMart also brings the high-value Snapmaker 2.0 3-in-1 3D printer / A350T , which combines 3D printing, laser engraving, and CNC milling technologies. Its modular design makes assembling the machine easier, and it's equipped with a touch screen, making it easy for both beginners and experienced users to get started!
In the event of a power outage at the competition venue, the Snapmaker 2.0 3-in-1 3D printer/A350T has a power-off resume function. After restarting the power, the machine will remember the previous work records and continue the 3D printing. There's no need to worry about reprinting everything. It won't waste students' competition time!
The modular design allows for immediate changes in functionality to meet students' needs. For example, if students temporarily require laser engraving or CNC wood carving, they can quickly switch between functions, making it both fast and simple!
The staff at 3DMart were very helpful in answering students' questions! They hoped to resolve any doubts and ensure students left without confusion!
