[Surround View Scanning Application] FDMTL Tokyo Fashion Show: AR Interactive Reality Right Before Your Eyes!

Tokyo-based fashion brand " FDMTL ," facing the ongoing global pandemic, has utilized surround-view scanning technology to unveil its latest collection as scheduled. FDMTL , a Tokyo-based fashion brand, has been designing various pieces of denim using unique washed denim fabrics since its founding in 2005. These designs are now widely used in clothing brands, including Danner, Vans, New Era, Chup, and Masterpiece. FDMTL 's founding designer, Gaku Tsuyoshi, usually travels to Paris every June to showcase the brand's latest collections. However, due to the ongoing global spread of COVID-19 since 2020, Gaku and his team were unable to participate.
To ensure the timely release of the latest collection, Gaku and his team held the " FDMTL 2021SS " fashion exhibition on the stage of the National Noh Theater in Shibuya, Tokyo. However, due to the pandemic restrictions on gatherings, the Noh Theater was not open to the public. Gaku ultimately decided to combine the exhibition with panoramic scanning technology, allowing viewers to enjoy the latest products without having to be physically present!
That's not all! At the FDMTL 2021SS online fashion exhibition, each new product has a unique QR code. Scanning the code with your phone will take you to a preview screen where you can choose between two modes: AR interactive space and 3D display of clothing details. Through the Mattertags tagging function, you can customize the annotations for each product detail, including detailed photos, introductory videos, official website URLs, etc., to provide more detailed explanations for the products according to your needs.
We use our phones to scan and virtually tour FDMTL's new season of denim jackets from our office, just like visiting the store in person! The 3D virtual display shows the details of the clothing, allowing you to zoom in and out, freely rotate the clothes, and present the fabric details to customers with high resolution and no color difference.
"Through Matterport surround view scanning , the exhibition space is transformed into a high-definition online virtual space. Entering the virtual space feels like being there in person! No app needs to be installed. You can immediately move around the exhibition hall using your mobile phone, tablet, or computer. No expensive equipment or professional knowledge is required, making it suitable for everyone," Gaku excitedly stated.
